I wish we lived close because this would be my favorite restaurant! The staff was so nice and patient. They gave recommendations that were wonderful. It certainly is not a fancy place but the food was my favorite bar-b-que in Memphis!

We had heard good things about A&R, so we went to the location on Elvis Presley Blvd. Its ok during daylight with out of state rental plates, don't know about at night. My husband and I had pulled pork sandwiches, fries and okra. Very inexpensive....More
The strengths: really good sauce, tangy; really, really good fried pickles; tender ribs. Great service too! That being said, I don't think A & R tops BBQ Shop or Cozy Corner. I'd go back for sure, but not my first choice!
Went here after a wedding to get food. The rib tip sandwich is phenomenal. Also tried the fried green tomatoes and they were good too. Mister ordered the wings and a turkey burger for later. All the food was great!

One of the cashiers was at the register eating. The place looked unkept. I did notice the rating of 77 from the health dept., that should of told me to leave. The pulled pork sandwich was awful... Extremely COLD. The food handlers looked very undesirable....More
Me and my family should have listen to the locals and ate the orginal location. We was Sorry!!! We got the pulled pork sandwiches they were ok. The bbq spagetthi was awfu!! The fried pickles was good. Listen to the locals...
This place is in a bad section of town. The appearance, both inside and out, is dirty and run down. The food, however, was fairly good. I wouldn't recommend it.
