Good meat and potato/veggie lunch, breakfast any time, drinks are kept full, and staff is friendly. Each day offers a different special.

Wow! I had the country fried chicken with white gravy, fried okra and black eyed peas. Incredible. Best fried chicken I've had in Memphis.

A friend and I visited and ate lunch at the Blue Plate Cafe, yesterday. Service was pleasant and good. We ordered fried shrimp, fried chicken and fried catfish with all the "fixin's". The food was plentiful and tasty, although probably not good for our cholesterol. We will return. We hadn't been there in a few years, but the quality and... More

I was introduced to the BPC many years ago by a native Memphian. As a result it is always a stop on at least one morning on any trip to Memphis. Sadly, this time I was really disappointed. The pancakes were tough and tasteless, the omelet was greasy and the gravy on the biscuits was about as bland as gravy... More

The service was good and the restaurant was tidy. There was a slight odor when you enter the restaurant. Not sure if it's because of the old wooden floors or something else. The food was okay, but because I cook good breakfast food myself, there was nothing spectacular about it.

We found this breakfast to be pretty average. Line up was incredibly long, so you may want to reconsider if you are going during peak time. Biscuits were super tasty, but the rest of breakfast was average.

We met a good friend, at his recommendation, for breakfast on my wife's birthday. We were seated right away, and the server got drinks and order quickly. Food was hot, tastey and plentiful! This was a very relaxed meal, in a very pleasant atmosphere. We look forward to visiting again!

The parking lot was full and there was a waiting line to get in – thus suggesting that it was a great place to eat. NOT TRUE. The service was horrible. The white on the Sunny Side Up Eggs was not cooked – runny and slimy – thus causing a health risk. The waiter was not pleasant about returning them... More

Very quick service. Great meat & 3 along with plenty of other menu items. You have to try their cornbread and white bean soup.

The portions are generous. Much like the portions you would get at a Denny's. The food was served quickly and hot. The waitress as well as the hostess were friendly and polite. The restaurant appears to have been an old house that was converted. The interior colors are cheerful and gives the country charm for relaxation. Parking can be a... More
