We went to King's Palace Cafe as part of our included tour but the food and entertainment were not as good as others we saw on Beale Street. We were still hungry after a meagre dish of barbecued chicken and downright depressed by the lack of atmosphere or any interest in our needs by the staff. The blues singer was... More

The quality of food in Beale Street varies a lot, but the King's Palace cafe gave us great food and great music. Excellent value and quality, in a happy atmosphere. A lovely evening. Thank you

Riding in our hotel elevator, we met a couple who had visited many BBQ restaurants on Beale Street. Their favorite was King's Palace. So we immediately visited and could agree that the food was delicious. Their lunch hour had extended into the late afternoon, and we were famished. The Pulled Pork and Ribs were tender with great flavor. The potato... More

The decorative touches in this restaurant on Beale were quite a surprise. It has a special southern charm, a beautiful bar, and great live music. Perfect for a special occasion or romantic dinner.

So good we went there for dinner twice. We hoped to find a casual place to dine, with a sense of energy, good music and great food, and this cafe fit the bill…..in the "Music Room' both nights a B.B.King-style musician was giving us guitar blues, mixed in with rock standards and even "happy birthday" for some patrons. He even... More

We were walking along Beale St. trying to decide where to eat and this gentleman stopped us and asked us to try this place, so we did. It was a little quieter than most of the places on Beale st. and we were able to converse. The service was great and the staff friendly. The food was fantastic. I had... More

As part of out US road trip my pal and I came to memphis. Beale st is alive. It smells and sounds so good. Looks cool too. Anyway we went into Kings Palace for a meal. It was busy so we were offered stools at the bar...fine with us. We chose the cajun combo. Wow! It was utterly superb. You... More

We chose this restaurant because we had eaten there on a previous visit to Memphis however this time the atmosphere was not nearly as good. We were given a table out of the way of most other tables and yet there were others which were free. In hindsight we should have asked if we could move but the staff weren't... More
