We did the wine tasting and it was fantastic. Learnt a lot about the wines we drank whilst having a great time. Lots of lovely food and drink available. We will definitely be back.

I had a delightful evening at Gwin Dylanwad with close friends. The relaxed atmosphere paired perfectly with the sharing platter we enjoyed. The wine selection was truly impressive, and the team's enthusiasm for sharing their deep knowledge of wine made the experience even more enjoyable....A fantastic place for a cozy and educational evening out!More

Very knowledgable sommelier - gave us some great recommendations. Love going into a place where the staff/ owner is excited to help. Bought some amazing wines and we were gifted a can of wine to try - which we did! Who knew.

Fantastic little stop in a quiet town. Fabulous experience with a great and knowledgeable owner who is clearly passionate about welsh wine giving all of us a fantastic experience with a 40 years of experience sommelier to pull from. Will definitely return soon!

This is the first time I review a non-eatery, because I feel this lovely wine shop deserves a mention. We visited earlier this week to look for a local gin; the staff member was extremely helpful and knowledgeable (despite having modestly self-admitted that gin was...not her forte!). When I could not choose between two bottles, I asked to have a little sample of each, and the staff member efficiently took care of it. Having read another recent review here, it seems like there is a seating area upstairs - if so, then we would love to take a look and try some sparkling wines next time. Great place to visit, not to be missed.More

The wine shop is fantastic, but having spotted a barista coffee machine, we asked if there was somewhere to have a coffee or even a glass of wine. Upstairs, there are a whole series of little self contained little rooms, with an eclectic set of...seats and chairs and tables. The service to the table, is brilliant. You can chose from their selection of wine or (this is a big or) chose any bottle from their amazing shop and for a modest corkage fee drink that. The wines range from expected European wines to a fabulous shelf of Welsh wines. We will, without hesitation be back next week. What an amazing hidden gem, it’s just incredible. It’s one of Dolgellau’s best places, of that there is no doubt, no doubt at all.More

Return trip to Gwin Dylanwad Wine shop - sadly going downhill now selling out of date chocolates. We didn't notice until after we had left the shop and town, but it only shows poor shop rotation of stock and lack of attention to detail by...the staff - especially at the prices they charge.More

Visiting Dolgellau, stopped off at Gwin Dylanwad Wine just off the main square for Wine & Chocolate. Helpful staff serving good wine & chocolate. A little pricey for Wales, but good quality. Good Covid precautions. Easy to find.

My wife and I were spending a couple of nights in Dolgellau and, never wanting to miss an opportunity for a good glass of wine, we were delighted to find this fantastic wine bar and cellar. Dylan and Llinos made us so welcome and were...very accommodating in allowing us to stay a little while beyond official closing time. It was great to chat about their story and the vast selection of wines they had and that included some wines you can't regularly find elsewhere. Needless to say I had to return this morning to take a couple home!! Diolch yn fawr iawn. a iechyd da.More

Popped in for lunch as the owners (Gareth & Gina) of Afon Rhaiadr Country House had recommend it to us, we were disappointed. We arrived on a wet and cold day but the warm welcome soon warmed us up and raised our spirits. We had the...Welsh Rarebit and homemade soup which were both lovely however the rarebit was the best we have ever tasted and was simply amazing. A great selection of wine and we enjoyed a nice bottle of Italy white wine. Everything was reasonable priced. We enjoyed our lunch so much my wife wanted to go again the next day however we didn't have time as we were returning home. My wife is already thinking of excuses for us to go back to Dolgellau so we can eat and drink here againMore
