New decor has done nothing to brighten this place up apart from take it back to the past - too dark and too dreary! And sadly food and service still not improved. Disappointed, yet again, and as a local I'd hoped for something better esp when there's some great restaurants on the doorstep.

Very, very pleasurable dining experience at the "coach, kitchen and garden" at The Bull. The menu is both light and substantial in content for a lunch visit.Service is efficient but unfussy.Slight wait for the food to begin arriving but it was worth the anticipation.Pleased to have Welsh speaking waiter-a bilingual menu might be appropriate, though. Both my dining partner and I had "nibbles",mains and a... The description out the front describes the rooms as "contemporary" which I would not agree with. "Traditional" was also used which is true. The building was very nice with a pleasant smell as you walked in and nice atmosphere. The court restaurant looked good from first impressions. We stayed in a room called "Mr Pegotty". The front door was worn... More

We have been several times before to The Loft restaurant at Ye Olde Bulls Head Inn in Beaumaris, Anglesey and at no time have we ever been disappointed (and that goes for our friends who have sometimes joined us). We went again on Saturday evening with some good friends of ours, and were again bowled over by the quality, taste... More

I visited here with some friends whilst in Beaumaris for the weekend. This is a great setting in a pub on the Main Street. Whilst I really enjoyed my burger, my friends who are vegetarians found their food only satisfactory and the tart a little dry. I have to say my dessert was delicious.

A lack of transparency on the menu almost spoiled our party's birthday celebration. As we sat in the lounge we asked if the price at the bottom of the menu was correct as we had thought there was a special price for Wednesday and Thursday evening. We were assured that there was but that it wasn't displayed on the menu.... More

North Wales isn’t well endowed with upscale dining opportunities but the Loft is well up there on the list. You’re invited to take an aperitif in the ground floor lounge, where they’ll serve you olives and nuts and take your order. In due course, you’re led upstairs to the quiet elegance of The Loft. It’s a pleasant space, surprisingly modern,... More

We came in search of the Princes of Gwynedd, the last true Princes of Wales and what better place to find more about their remarkable story than in this beautiful part of North Wales. Anglesey or to give it its proper name, Ynys Mon, is full of their history and what better place to stay than the Old Bull in... More

Staff all over the place, serving part of the meal and forgetting sides, drink orders, moving to other orders without finishing the table they were on. No one apparently in charge. Warm, not hot, food served on cold plates - basic procedures not being followed.

We've stayed here three times now as we love it. The rooms are extremely comfortable and well-appointed. The bathrooms are a really good size and the lovely toiletries are from the nearby Cole&Co.
