After all the hype we were expecting great things. Unfortunately we had eaten better in the Manchester French which hasn't got a Michelin star!! The service was poor, we were left with empty glasses and without drinks for very long time no periods. The food was presented well yet the moss starter was let down by the dry acrid taste... More

Beautiful food that was an exiting experience for the mouth in a warm welcoming atmosphere. Nine courses of the most delicious cuisine. Its not just food, its art.

Firstly, I must mention the most wonderful person Bethan (front of house). She is just brilliant, chatty and wonderfully engaging. She took the time to tell us about each course as well as time for a chat during the meal. This place is incredible, wonderfully informal and allows the food to steal the limelight. We had a relaxing three hours... More

What can I say? Amazing!! Anyone who has give this place a negative review needs their head testing! This place is fine dining at a humble level. Bethan and Steve are wonderful hosts and offer excellent cuisine and hospitality. Their offerings include the most local organic produce coupled with a good selection of wines, you must accept this place as... More

How do I start, a very humbling and warm welcoming from Bethan (front of house). Seated the 4 of us and waited on our every requirement then guided us through every dish (all 9 of them) as they were served with such a personal and intimate approach that blew us away...... to mention the unsung hero/s in this are the... I am a regular diner at Sosban and have to make sure I book months in advance. The restaurant is very different to most as it provides you with a relaxed, leisurely dining experience. You are not rushed to turn tables but are made to feel special. The food is of the highest calibre, course after course of flavour punches... More

Laborious and tedious experience. Am sorry that I wrote such a glowing report on first visit. When you go in the restaurant is a fog of cooking mist and smells. You sit down in a soulless room. You have courses not of your own choosing come out in dribs and drabs over a heniously long period of time so much... More

One of the most amazing food experiences. Lovely small restaurant with such a warm hostess. Fabulous tasty and imaginative food with such attention to detail. Look forward to going again.

This is the place to go for a truly amazing eating experience. A warm welcome awaited as we were greeted by Bethan, the chef's wife, and were immediately made to feel at home. There is no menu but she takes the time to explain all of the amazing dishes as she presents them on interesting platters. There is limited seating allowing... More

I've been to Sosban once a year since they opened - and i'm over the moon to say that its just got better and better. The couple that run the restaurant are just lovely and go out of their way to help (I met the owner in a lay-by in Brynrefail to arrange the collection of a voucher for my... More
