Took my friend for her 50th birthday whilst visiting Anglesey and had an amazing experience/lunch. When I booked it several months ago I had forgotten I had mentioned it was for a special birthday... but the restaurant hadn’t and brought us two complementary glasses of...More

I had wanted to visit Marram Grass ever since seeing Ellis Barrie on The Great British Menu. A short break in North Wales provided the perfect opportunity to drive over to Anglesey for lunch. The fear with so 'celebrity chef' restaurants is that the reality...More

Two of us went for lunch at this recommended restaurant/café, and were somewhat disappointed! The place was so cold that we had to keep our coats on, and my wife to have a rug around her knees from our car. We moved from one table...More

A warm welcome, extremely solicitous and unpretentious service, and the kind of dishes that get people on adjacent tables talking enthusiastically about what they have chosen. Delightful.

Having recently had a baby boy and spending most of my days and nights as a sleep deprived ‘mombie’ I was so excited to get my glad-rags on and revisit the marram grass for a much awaited Mother’s Day weekend treat! Leaving the children at...More

This is an example of how a truly great restaurant should be run. The food is unforgettable, the service we received from Giogia, exceptional and the atmosphere is cosy, unpretentious and friendly.

This was our third visit to the wonderful Maram Grass. We chose it especially to celebrate a special birthday and it was a great choice. The food was fabulous, but what really made this visit special was the service. Just the right amount of friendly,...More

I'm still scratching my head over the Marram Grass. We had spotted the cafe on Julia Bradbury 's programme on Anglesey. We booked well in advance to make this the culinary highlight of our break. We chose starters and main courses of Menai mussels and...More

We started The Marram Grass because we believed we could create a place that offers good, creative food using local produce and seafood, all within an informal setting. On Anglesey we are surrounded by beautiful produce, fresh fish and shellfish and it is not lost on our team of chefs. We work hard to keep our menu moving and we change them regularly to best accommodate the fresh and seasonal produce that comes in through our door. In our low-key setting we have create an inviting and relaxed atmosphere without taking any shortcuts on quality. We have a full, purposeful wine list and a selection of local beers, as well as a good selection of some the the worlds Gins. We offer small portions of our menu for children and are happy to accommodate, well behaved dogs as long as they sit under the table. We want you to eat with us, we enjoy our job hosting and cooking so come on over and try us out. See you soon, The Marram Grass Team x
