So often, pubs for locals and pubs for tourists are two different animals. The Royal 'Eorge could come across as a local pub for local people and certainly everyone who drinks their regularly know everyone else. Solva is not a big place after all. But the 'Eorge does manage to pull off the rare trick of keeping its regulars happy... More

Great local pub, great atmosphere and very friendly. The pub dog is brilliant and our dogs loved it there to. Thank

Having stayed in Solva a number of times we've never made it into The George so thought we'd check it out for Sunday lunch. After one pint of double dragon on the deck at the back we were forced in by the rain so went for another..well would be rude not to! By this stage the pub singer had started... More

Stopped in after walking the coastal path and I honestly think my boots were cleaner than this place. The ladies toilets were dirty and extremely grubby, we didn't try the food but if the toilets and seating area were anything to go by. Our drinks were fine although it was a bit rowdy with a local football team, did not... More

To start by being positive, the staff were very nice, particularly the guy behind the bar who reserved us a table at very short notice. Unfortunately that's about the only positive thing I can think of writing. Shortly after siting down I went to the toilet, which was basically 3 blocked urinals, a condom machine and a blown up picture... More

The last time I visited this restaurant it was the most wonderful cuisine......now it has turned in to a sort of pizza parlour! Not good!

Called in here from the coast path. Lovely welcoming atmosphere, recommended by locals, so need I say more? Fully of character, and you can see the sea from the beer garden.

The Royal George is a friendly welcoming pub with great staff. We had booked in advance as the place was full. All four of us had whitebait to start, fresh and nicely cooked. All main courses were different and all four were beautifully cooked and presented. Lobster Thermidor, Lamb shank, Sea Bass fillets (the largest ever) and battered cod and... More

Had been told good things about this pub, so stopped here for a change from our usual holiday haunts, we were very disappointed. 5pm on a workday the place was full of builders, might be nice at other times, but not a good place to bring a family during this time.

Good food at a good price. Old traditional style with a comfortable feel to it. Dogs allowed and a gorgous old chocolate lab that lives in the pub. We would definitely go again if in the area.
