A favorite spot for dinner and breakfast while in San Pancho! The gorgeous courtyard looks like it's out of a movie with leafy plants, vines trailing the walls and candles throughout. The food is always delicious and artfully presented. Most recently we had the zucchini spirals with pesto, a wonderful beet salad and catch of the day (mahi mahi).
Breakfast is also delightful with the best huevos rancheros I've ever had (the whole bran arepa makes it). Also, always excellent service. Hope to be back next year.

Exquisite location and lovely attentive staff. Unfortunately, the cook was sick and so the menu was limited compared to their normal offerings. The food was delicious but once again (like our experience at Habibi, a few blocks away in San Pancho), high prices were accompanied by tiny portions. Everything tasted wonderful but it was hard not to feel taken advantage of, given the high prices, by the inadequate serving sizes. I don't like "American" huge portions, but we simply didn't get enough to eat, with the exception of the delicious large servings of brownies we ordered for desert.

We enjoyed both brunch and the special weekend dinner with live jazz. The service was exemplary and the vibe beautifully curated making these meals highlights of our trip. Our group enjoyed a range of the menu offerings and the kitchen did a great job with preparation and timing. Fresh, organic, locally sourced ingredients are the hallmark of Bistro Organico.
Don’t pass this gem by, you’ll be missing a great dining experience… with a fantastic jazz trio which could play any club in the world.

The secluded, intimate outdoor dining in the back of Cielo Rojo was a perfect location for high quality food, attentive service and surprisingly lovely wine grown in Mexico (great find!). I highly recommend the ceviche, the risotto, and a surprisingly delicious tomato / beet salad. I've never had "baked/mashed" beets and the texture, flavor were outstanding. Very special.

My family and I have eaten at Bistro Organico many times over the years and every time we are even more blown away. The restaurant itself is gorgeously curated with artisans from all over Mexico. The seating is an intimate open air patio, and occasionally there is live music which is a perfect addition to our evenings. The food is to die for. The quality is of a very high end US restaurant that would charge $$$$$. The restaurant sources their ingredients locally and everything tastes so fresh. Definitely don’t miss the margarita with the Bistro’s own tequila. I can not recommend this restaurant enough, no other place we have eaten at in Nayarit has come even close to the quality and care Bistro Organico delivers.

A friend suggested we try the Bistro for breakfast and we were really impressed with the quality of the food, the ambiance and the friendliness of the staff. After sampling a few things from the menu, we struck up a conversation with the owner who suggested we come back for a 9 course tasting dinner. Intrigued, we immediately made a reservation for the following night. Our expectations were high, and we were completely blown away. The chef is from Oaxaca and the food was a modern take on cuisine from that region. We especially liked the crab "taco" and the tomato tar-tar. I would 100% recommend the Bistro for any meal of the day, but if you're able to go for the tasting dinner you really must do so.

We love staying at the wonderful, unique Hotel Cielo Rojo in San Pancho (San Francisco) Riviera Nayarit Mexico. We first went in 2016 and have returned every year, except for a COVID gap year in 2021. One of the highlights of this very special place is their restaurant, Bistro Organica. Locally sourced fresh organic food, healthy and delicious. On our first night in town. returning after a two-year absence, we splurged and ordered the nine course “Chef’s Tasting Menu” (There is a six course option but we did not want to miss a thing). The only word to describe this meal: exquisite. Nine different small bites, including crab. chicken and local waters fish dishes, and two incredible desserts. Each one offering an original taste sensation we have never experienced before. The meal reminded me of California Napa Valley’s exclusive French Laundry. The quality of food was on par at a much more affordable price and it doesn’t take six months to get a reservation. Our server, Matteo, explained every course and whetted our appetite for each one. I do not remember when we’ve had such an exceptional dining experience.

The farm to table dinner menu is unlike anything within hundreds of miles in terms of creativity, and quality of execution. I travel the world extensively and Bistro Organic holds its own just fine among many of the worlds finest. Which is truly surprising given the size of San Pancho and relatively isolated location. Try the home made capeletti or the local water fish for dinner if you aren’t starved. And if you’re really hungry, try the 9 course Chef tasting menu. Drink from a deep wine list of Mexican, Italian and French wines. The breakfast and lunch menu, with a focus on healthy and organic features home made everything: breads, yogurt, etc. Try the shrimp burger or Huevos Rancheros.

Two-couples dinner turned into a feast of flavors! We were all so positively surprised by carefully curated creative choices offered by a passionate team in this small kitchen. Attention to detail in each step. Pure dining pleasure and an overall wonderful time, definitely a place to return to.

Many lovely surprises: A quesadilla wrapped in pepper leaves instead of a tortilla and topped with cilantro flowers. A Caesar salad with fresh, tender barely sautéed broccoli and cauliflower plus gorgeous lettuce of various kinds. Sea bass with cacahuazintle corn (huge kernels, often used for pose) and a green mole sauce. Flourless brownie with ice cream and a raspberry tart with white chocolate. Attentive but discreet service, lovely courtyard setting.

Beautiful space, great service, well shaken cocktails, unique and local flavor combinations.Cielo de Rojo has it all. The octopus was grilled perfectly, and the fish of the day was to die for.

Have eaten here many times over the years and usually pretty good. This time, fail. The hotel staff, waitstaff, and cook were not wearing masks. In this climate that’s totally irresponsible and I’m upset with myself that I ate there and didn’t say anything. I will not make that mistake again. Many restaurants and are responsible and staff wearing asks. Skip this place for now until they wise up.

I came with my family for an amazing Christmas Eve dinner. I extended my stay and it was calling my name again tonight. I was planning on ordering from the regular menu but was presented the chefs menu. After debating for 10 minutes, I decided to go for the 6 course tasting menu. Every first bite got a literal omg out of my mouth. This is an absolute for San Pancho!

Kinetic Kennons recommended this little courtyard restaurant on one of their YT videos and being vegan I had to go. The beet burger was amazing and the people so nice. Only negative was the white wine frankly it was awful so I switched to beer! I will definitely go back next time I’m in San Pancho, I may even try the hotel.

A Mexican Oasis!
Superb selections with coffee, juices and smoothies, and healthy breakfast and lunch choices! I had the Notoles Rancheros which was delicious. Service was impeccable. Hoping to go back soon. Dinner is only available in winter months.
