I went back after several years to the nwly renovated place. The menu is still very good and the wine list exotic as always. Did miss the owners' presence as they really add some zest to the place - otherwise service is rather clinical.

We went for lunch. We asked, in addition to food menus, for a wine list. We were then handed a folder the size of the old A-K White Pages phone book with the clear implication "You don't select the wine here, we recommend it to...More
Nice tasty German food, A good place for a solid meal. The port knuckle is huge and the side dishes were delicious. The beers are awesome and we were lucky enough to have a tour of the cellar... OMG! Wow! Rudi & Max are great...More
The food is very good, specially the traditional German meals, the wine list is only limited by your budget, however, the service can sharpen up.
We went there with a group of 6 friends from work. I'd never been before and it was a great time. Rudi and Max provided great service and we just felt like a couple of mates. great traditional food and the wine selection was amazing!...More
Crows Nest class act for decades.. The Max & Rudi show proved at lunch yesterday why it remains a top pick. Take an appetite and a sense of humour & let them do the rest. Thanks boys! Tony & Jane.
