Great customer service and quaint dinning area. Good frog legs, biscuits and omelettes! Reasonable prices

Thanks so much for taking the time to give us your positive review! It is so easy to let good service and food go without notice, and easy to rant about the bad. We appreciate your comments and will pass them on the the staff. More

Stopped for breakfast on the way back from Sewanee. Hmmmm. The moment you walk in you smell the smoked meats! Eggs and bacon. Eggs and sausage. Eggs and brisket. What's not to love! Delicious and filling. This place is like Cracker Barrel on steroids. Lots of fun antique things to explore as well as local and homemade goods. An interesting... More

Very original farm country style restaurant which makes you fell like lost in the time I really recommend stop by there if you driving to Chattanooga or Nashville . You'll see huge products inside Beer , sauces , natural beacon and ham, Bufete is not to big but taste very good...

We took a drive over to Sewanee to watch a basketball game. We decided to stop for lunch at Jim Oliver's Smoke House Restaurant. We had eaten there several years ago and enjoyed. Boy, was I disappointed this time. The food was not good. The options on the buffet were limited. I do not think we will go back again.

Thanks for your comments and thoughts, sorry for the poor expectations, and we apologize for your less than expectations. We do our best everyday and there are some days or times of the days that we are not on top of our game; especially if it is late in the day for the buffet. We pride ourselves on our food... More

I have passed here countless times traveling and we decided to stop and give it a try. Well it was the first and last trip. The buffet was terrible all is the food tasted like it was directly from a box and very bland. I'm sure it was just the day we visited but the first impression wasn't good. The... More

Thank you for your comments and thoughts, some times we are just not on top of our game, and the food tells it. I can assure you that we do not cook out of a box, or can. All our food is fresh prepared and seasoned as cooked; apparently what you had off the buffet was not seasoned enough; we... More

This is the perfect place to make a stop and have something to eat. Food is so Tennessee comfort food. Delicious. You can make the stop, visit the store and eat in the local traditional restaurant. Buy too many different kind of sauces and jams. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner.

We were driving through the area toward another state. It was live music night. We told the waitress it was our first time there, and she was very helpful and attentive. However, the food was just average. Was still a fun experience. The general store is huge, kinda like an original cracker barrel.

As my review of the Smoke House Lodge says, I love the mountainous location and neon sign. The General Store is fun to explore. As for the restaurant, I was disappointed. Slow service, even though the place was almost empty when I ate there. The waitress never once spoke; weird. Good salad bar and fries, but the ribs were extremely... More

We apologize for your less than great service and product on your visit here, and we appreciate your comments about it. We cannot always be 100% great on every server and every plate of food that is served, but your experience is unacceptable, especially the service; we apologize. On the food, pork ribs do have a bit of fat on... More
