Very cozy atmosphere in a beautiful home on the national register of historic places.. Food was exceptional . My favorite part was the summer salad with grilled peaches, wow!!! Rolls were outstanding. My husband said his rib eye was the best he had ever had.

We knew from the reviews it would be a wonderful meal and we were not disappointed at all. I had the rainbow trout and my husband had the red fish. Both were excellent. My grandson enjoyed a filet from the children's menu! Talk about getting a great meal for price! Then we all enjoyed a great dessert as well. My... More

Having enjoyed the service and food previously for a dozen years. I chose High Point last Subsay evening to entertain an important NYC client. When we arrived we Saw a sparce parking lot and plenty of empty tables. Imagine my shock to be greeted by a rude, crass Hostess who immediately informed us that "we don't have no tables; we're... I'm sorry to hear about how you were treated on Sunday, Chuck. I'm not sure about our booked reservations for that day, but we would never condone our employees to treat our customers rudely, reservation or not. I will find out who you spoke with and handle it so it doesn't happen again. I hope that you would give us... More

This place is amazing and has amazing food and atmosphere. Has a history of Al Capone. We sat outside with the lights strung around and fountain. We had an awesome waitress that shared the mansions history. We ordered a little of everything. Oysters Rockefeller, Steak, Duck , veggies, scallops, salmon, shrimp you name it , it was delicious. Such exquisite succulence! The food is indeed a tad pricey, but it is totally worth every last coin in your pocket. I visited this restaurant on a first date with a gentleman who was classy enough to choose this place. Every single bite melted on my tongue, cooked to perfection with savory flavors. I ordered the steak and shrimp, and... More

Great service. A little pricy on a few dishes. Nice portions... I had a chicken dish..the chicken was a little over cooked, the cheese and sauce was good. Great Blackberry salad

The food was outstanding and served in generous portions! We shared the lobster tail appetizer. Dinner selections came with salad and vegetable. The salads were huge! I had the glazed salmon. Delicious! My husband had the T-bone. Also excellent. We shared Bananas Foster for dessert. It was enough for 4 people to share. It was an unusually cool August evening... More

Located just north of I-24 is an interesting stone house in the list of National Register of Historic Places. This house was built by Al Capone as one of his stopovers on his way to and from the north and Miami, FL. The house is beautifully appointed, featuring small dining rooms, taking advantage of the several rooms on main floor;... More

Thanks so much for the review Sandra. What a great description of our restaurant and menu items! I am sorry to hear that our Ribeye was not what you expected. We do hand cut all of our steaks and they are usually on the thicker side, so I can only guess one slipped through our chef. I will let the... More

Built inside a 1929 mansion that presumably once was financed by Al Capone, the restaurant serves a menu of traditional gourmet dishes including Brie en Croute, Blackened Salmon Oscar and Black Thai Duck. The mansion that houses the restaurant was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 and still features the original escape hatches and underground tunnels that were used by Capone to transfer liquor during the Prohibition Era. In 2001, High Point received the "Best Gourmet Meal in Tennessee" award from "Tennessee" magazine.
