We went to this bakery on the back of reviews in TripAdvisor but we were disappointed. It was over-priced and over-rated. Boring decor, bad paintings, stand-offish staff and food that wasn't even that good. $14.50 for a BLT? Are you serious?

I'm sure the bakery itself is great but I wanted to warn anyone wanting to book the accommodation not to bother. I was very disappointed to find that the bathroom to the Queen Room is used by bakery patrons during the day. As such, it is very worn and not very nice. In addition to this, the bakery is very... I need to clarify few facts in response to this review. The person who wrote on Trip Advisor, as well as on our Facebook, has not stayed at the Bakery Accommodation at all, as she did not like a look of the busy lunch hour at the Bakery and patrons milling around the house well before check in time. The... More

Visited the old bakery again, to check out the pies and muffins. The pies were very good but lack gravy, just pieces of meat and large lumps of potato. The muffins were fresh and tasty, the coffee was made to a very good standard. The only thing would have to say against the whole experience was the service which was... More

Stopped in for lunch, we've eaten here a few times in other visits to the area, but this time things were different. The staff had no idea about how to serve people. They took one order at a time, fiddled about getting that organised, checked 5 times with the customer about what was ordered then realised they actually had no... More

Dear Megan, Sorry to see you were disappointed in our Bakery during your last visit. It was a difficult few days for us over the Easter break. We made a decision to be open for travelers, however we had to hire additional staff from Melbourne to make sure that we coped with larger numbers of customers. The problem of course... More

Although we focus on the Royal Mail...This is a charming cafe. Pies cakes bread if high quality. Quaint house two streets back from main drag. Good breather when in road trip.

This is a very quaint old fashioned bakery. We had already eaten elsewhere but stopped in for a look and ended up buying muffins - very nice and quite tasty!
