This was a first visit for us to Source Dining and it certainly won't be our last. We had the degustation menu and loved it. The duck was my personal favourite, closely followed by the trout. The flavours were fresh and went well together. The food was fabulous and the service was great too. Attentive but not in your face.... More

Everything from the atmosphere, service, food and wine list has attention to detail and passion. Special occasion venue, or informal dining. Locals nite Thursday is great value.

Attended one of the regional Wine dinners during Budburst in the Macedon Ranges. The courses were matched to Granite Hill wines. Quality and presentation of meals was exceptional and the wines complemented the food perfectly.

We enjoyed a beautiful meal at Source dining in a lovely setting. Ordering main courses without entrees, we were given a complimentary appetiser each. Despite a dairy allergy, I was able to have a superb dessert, specially modified for me, as was the appetiser and the main course. The wine list was very large and reasonably priced, highlighting local wines.... More

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Source. We chose the degustation menu and my husband chose to have the wine matching every dish. Every dish was a pleasure to our tastebuds! It was so fresh and full of flavour. The staff were friendly and knowledgable and made us feel like extremely welcome. They explained every dish as... More

First visit was for lunch in late 2015. Caught the train from Melbourne and walked to the restaurant from the station. Be warned it is a bit of a hike as the restaurant is on the opposite side of town from the train station. The produce is sourced locally including from their garden and prepared with care and attention to... More

Once again I was in the area and had to come back. The name has changed as has the menu BUT the same amazing relaxed setting, and outstanding food and service remains. The Cheese Soufflé - was like tasting a cheese cloud, so light and fluffy it melted with amazing cheesiness in my mouth. The side Slaw gave salad a... More

Great ambiance, warm and friendly staff, entree of scallops delightful, however the $42 black Angus and the serve of chips $9 could have been larger. The steak was beautifully cooked as ordered and well rested. Wine list very good and service excellent. Would have been five stars if mains larger.k

Driving through Kyneton village looking for car parking, Bob noticed this restaurant. Bob & I got out of the rented car which was parked by Peter. We were delighted by the immediate ambience and greeting. The waitress, Kim, charmingly invited us to take a table, which we accepted. The menu was not extensive but inviting. I had the grass fed... Have to agree with other reviews that both the service and food at this restaurant is excellent. Has a great ambience as they don't overcrowd the seating. Well done to the staff who make this place extra special. It's a shame they do spoil it by charging a fee for using a credit card and then ask for a tip.... More
