We booked for the Christmas Day lunch. Tables were well organised with names, nicely decorated with Christmas crackers and candy canes. We queued up for the buffet which was extensive. Everything was just right, the only thing missing was pork crackling but you never seem to get that these days anyway. All the condiments you could want. Food was hot ,salads... More

We called in for dinner and found the staff to be very friendly. Our main meals we better than just good and were well cooked an beautifully presented. We dine here every time we come to Numurkah and spend a week at the Time Share Resort.

Good pub meals, might get busy with playroom in bistro behind glass doors. Went on a Monday and husband had barra and I had salt and pepper squid. Both really nice. Very modern hotel. Didn't wait long for meal.

We have been to the Shamrock several times and have always had an excellent meal and have recommended it to friends. I wondered if they have changed cooks/chefs as the meal I ordered on Monday (beef & guiness pie) was thick and gluggy with very little meat. My husband ordered Fisherman's basket $22 and there was no fish. Compared to... More

A very inviting place with plenty of room to move and plenty of room to cater for large numbers. Food is ok, nothing special and for this reason the food is priced about right - not too expensive, could be a little under - good for families too!

Went for dinner on a Thursday night. Very modern venue. Staff a bit disorganized, there was a big group dining in a separate area so maybe that was contributing. I had the Thai curry and unfortunately it was just lukewarm in taste and feel. Disappointing. No atmosphere and not many locals there that night. Would give it a miss next... More

The Shamrock, or "The Rock" as it is widely known, is a modernised country pub with great food and service. Always enjoyable.

Friends stayed at the Shamrock and enjoyed the simple and extremely inexpensive accommodation. We were there to celebrate a 90th Birthday. Whoo Hoo. Did we what!!!! Meals were delicious, from fish to fancy foods, and huge helpings. Great for a gutz like moi. Excellent wine choice if lagers not to your liking. Li Na was playing the Oz Tennis Final... More

The Rock offers really good quality pub meals at very reasonable prices. The decor isn't anything flash, but the service is excellent. The steaks are succulent and cooked as you request; fish and lamb are also good. Portions are large; the offered half-serves would suit many people.

Country pub with friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, reasonable prices and great variety. Kids loved their meals as well and the play area kept my 5 year old entertained for hours. A wall of glass on the play room meant we could see what the kids were doing without having to move from our seats! My 9 year old... More
