Flake was okay, but everything else was average. Potato cakes were the rubbish pressed cornstarch ones that are a perfect circle, cooked from frozen. Chips were pricey. Dim sims, crab sticks, crumbed prawn etc were all the usual frozen bulk pack ones. How hard is it to make a real potato cake? Go there if you happen to be in... More

Staying nearby and had heard about the fish and chips. Visited and had simple flake and chips. Absolutely awesome. Thinly battered fluffy white flesh fish with great chips. Can't fault it. If nearby call in you won't be disappointed

Went there today with my fiancé we got scallops, crumbed prawns, crab sticks and some chips everything had ben frozen and the chips were horrible with no taste, very disappointing for a shop right on the water you'd expect them to cook fresh seafood and use a top quality oil!!!

Stopped in at Port Albert fish and chips on Sunday for a late lunch. The fish was ok although the batter was very ordinary. The potato cake was undercooked. The amount of salt on the food was ridiculous. We had to shake it off and use the lemon wedge to wash it off. Also, I don't know why this place... More

Small basic fish n chip shop, nothing more nothing less, clean functional with a queue out the door. Gummy and chips, all packed in a box, walked over to the wharfside , found a seat and sat overlooking the water. A good size, not at all oily, the fish batter was beautifully crisp and light, crunching as I bit into... More

Always good for a lunch looking at the water either eating in the car on a blowy day or at a table along the pavement if weather is great. I would prefer the food was cooked in a vegetable oil. I can taste the oil a bit too much and you have to keep an eye on whoever is salting.... More

The best fish and chips in Victoria if you want a simple lunch. Try the flathead fillets which I always do . The fish is so fresh. In summer you could have the fish and chips while watching the bay. Not to be missed if you are in the Gippsland region in Victoria.
