In all the times I have eaten at Suba's, I have never had a bad dining experience. The deserts are awesome, especially the apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream. The owners and staff are friendly and will make you want to come back.
Very nice place with great service and great food. The menu has a lot to choose from and everything that I have tried has always been cooked to perfection. It is a little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for! We will always come back!
Very nice surroundings and the service was excellent. Found the place to be a bit pricey for the quality of the food. However, it IS in a rural area. Fantastic desserts! A good place for a meat & 3. I had the loaded 1/4 pound hotdog which was very good. Then we had the choice of a dozen different desserts. wonderful pies! Very nice people.
I ordered a steak "Medium Rare" and when it arrived at our table it there was more tendons and fat than there was meat, and it was tough. My wife ordered the alfredo and she said that she has had mixes out of a box that was better. I spent $60 on our meal when we could have gotten better... More
heard about it from a Banker there - had saw a review AS BEST Restaurant in East TN. Large menu and we have found only excellent products. Desserts are made by the wife and meals are prepared by the Husband. Shocking food for a town this small. Lunch a real value, May have to take dessert in to go box.... More
Excellent dining & menu choices!! Always divine. Definitely need reservations for dinner. Well know local couple, , chef husband & pastry chef wife& hostess. Byob. Try the fried portabella mushrooms...enuf for 2., and of course the mammouth, delicious desserts, many of which are selected by clients, from the revolving bakery case & tagged with brass tags, as one arrives !!
I love Subas! I live in Mountain City and eat at Subas as often as possible. They are open mid February thru mid December, Lunch and dinner Wednesday through Saturday, and Sunday lunch. Lunch is a great selection of sandwiches, salads, entrees. Dinner is a bigger selection of entrees. Desserts are homemade! And are delightful! You just can't do Subas... More
Usually stop in here for a late lunch on the way home from bike riding in Damascus, VA. You must make a reservation as this small place is always slammed with locals & travelers. This visit I had crawfish cakes (like crab cakes), they were good but not as good as I was expecting them to be. There was more... More
