Although this restaurant gets rave reviews, we found it to be so-so and on the expensive side. The selection of pasta, seafood, and meat is not extensive. The pasta is ok, as was the case with the seafood. A martini came to around $18.

I ate here with family, who were visiting from out of state, for thanksgiving. The food was delicious and, this is not a bad thing, portions were reasonable. I had the veal and was full, but not stuffed. Service was outstanding, but the prices are certainly inflated. That's my only issue with this place. Great food, great service, but Nashville... More

Our family group recently went here for dinner. The food and the service were good but not outstanding. The atmosphere was pleasant. Everyone seemed to have a good time but I wouldn't be in favor of returning. There are other places that serve at least equally good food and don't cost an arm and a leg.

Pros: We ordered the pumpkin ravioli and mushroom gnocchi. Both were awesome!! 5 stars for our entrees. Lots of vegetarian options. Seated on time per our reservation. Good bread basket. Nice ambiance. Easy valet. Cons: Someone was loudly yelling angry curse words from the kitchen. It wasn't just once, but multiple times. Definitely inappropriate, a mood killer, and I expect... We made the reservation and were assured that their courtesy bus would pick us up and take us back to our hotel.. No need for taxi or searching for parking place!! The vegetables were too chunky and not diced as is our preference. Branzino and Pappardelle were both excellent. Spinach salad was very fresh. All these traditional entrees were well... More

Asked the Concierge at our hotel for a good restaurant away from the tourists. Just a few mimutes from downtown Nashville and they have a shuttle that will pick you up and take you back after dinner. Very good service and the food was excellent. Even the shuttle driver was outstanding and had more interesting trivia on Nashville than some... More

Had a business dinner there and we loved the food. The waiters aren't real friendly and welcoming but they do their job. The wine list is ridiculously priced. I mean ridiculous! Ended up with about a 20.00 bottle of wine for $70.00. That's too high a mark up in my opinion. Majority of wines on the list were well over... More

Was part of an event taking place at this restaurant. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves and there was a prefix menu. So everyone sat down at once and that is a hard challenge for a restaurant. These guys really pulled it off. The meal was as good as it was authentic. A true multi course Italian meal done... More

While the food is adequate, the service is horrible and the wait staff is beyond rude. The prices are insane. I will never return nor recommend this restaurant.

Let's get it out of the way...Yes Gio's is expensive. Now, on to the important news. It is worth it. The service is superlative, and the food is perfection. If you are a fritti fan, do not miss the calamari, because it is perfectly cooked. I tore myself away from ordering a second appetizer of carpaccio in favor of veal... More
