We had a large party for dinner. It was a four course meal and overall was good.
We started with a Caesar salad. I do not like them so I can’t say anything about the salad, but it was a good portion. The next was a Mac and cheese that was amazing! The next course was a choice husband had ribeye eye and he said it was amazing. It was served with what appeared to be a wine, basil butter reduction. Also family stay green beans and smashed potatoes. The salmon was way to overdone to the point of disgusting. The cheese cake was amazing! We also had originally ordered sweet tea but it was tonic tasting and changed for Dr. pepper that was flat. The 21st staff tried to keep up but our glasses were always empty. I am not sure if there was a language barrier because the waiter didn’t understand ur request. We asked for coffee and they never brought sugar or cream, when we tracked down someone and asked for some cream and sugar they brought Splenda, had to get back up and go look for someone to get sugar. By that time coffee was cold and was never offered another one or a refill.

We were really let down. While the service was okay the food was no more than average and definitely not worth the price charged. Caesar salad was was one of worst examples of a Caesar I have had. Olive Garden does better. Entrees were nothing more than average.

Just finished dinner at the Ravello. Being from the North east ( my opinion best Italian food in the country) I try to be open minded. This was possibly the worst chicken parm I have eaten. Not sure what they fried the chicken in but it was not good. On a side note the pasta was good and the meatball appetizer was tasty. Where I come from, a basket of good Italian bread on the table, is a given…especially at these prices. Love the ambience but the food fell short! I don’t mind waiting for food drinks etc due to staffing, but I do expect it will be hot when served.

Due to problems staffing, there were few options. So we chose Italian, everyone can find something at Italian, right???
When we sat we found out it was only buffet, no menu. The buffet was mediocre at best. Barely warm food, small plates, very little flavor, no basic but yummy Italian.
When we went up for dessert it was almost gone and they were not putting more out.
We tried things hoping to find something worth the price of a buffet (which was WAY over what we thought it would be). We should have just tipped the waiter and left.
Based on the taste of the food, we would not return here even with a menu option.

Wow this was a terrible dinner experience. For $200, we got inedible food and awful service on our last night staying at the Gaylord. We tried the fritto misto, Caesar salad, veal piccata, chicken Parmesan, chicken alfredo, and cheese pizza for our 3 yr old. The only edible item that was actually good was my son’s cheese pizza and I’m pretty sure they went and got it from Paisano’s since it took forever. I recommend saving yourself the money and terrible experience (the wait staff could care less we ate none of our food) and getting some pizza from paisano’s instead. We’ll never go back.

We were here on Friday 7/2. We had a large family group of 9 people that you were able to accommodate easily at a very large table. The dinner buffet was awesome and delicious and offered a wide variety of entrees. Our server, Romany was awesome and very attentive to our group. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We were looking forward to the brick oven pizza and eating Italian on the last night of our trip. We first were told there would be a 45 minute wait, but then all of a sudden they were able to seat us. Waiter took our drink order and meal order. My glass of wine showed up towards the end of the meal and I told him I no longer wanted it. No apology for being late. Pizza came and he basically put it on the table and left. I had to ask the bus person for a water refill. Never saw our waiter the entire meal and never asked if we needed anything else. The table behind us looked like he was giving 100% attention to. Guess we didn't count. The pizza was doughy. The cesar salad was good but over priced. The 2 bathroom stall in the womens room had one that was about over filling. We enjoyed the pizza place in the food court at Marriott Opry Land much better.

The garlic knots are not good. They are like rolls you buy in the grocery store with butter brushed on top. Our server was not attentive at all. The really nice guy that filled waters did better than our server. My husbands lasagna was cold, and my fettuccine Alfredo had no sauce at all. Actually the only thing that was good was my daughters spaghetti kids meal. When the manager dropped by to see how everything was, I mentioned a few comments to which she replied, I’m sorry about that! And then didn’t take care of anything! Like why did you ask then if you weren’t planing on doing anything about it? Maybe they were having a bad night? Hope other guests have a better experience.

We hosted a business dinner at this restaurant. The food was average at best. The salads were different and nice serving sizes . The entrees were not served warm
And not very flavorful. The service was attentive and knowledgeable. The ambiance was very nice especially for a business dinner.

We ate here over President's Day Weekend. We were staying at the Gaylord and chose it based on service, atmosphere, and "who can screw up basic Italian?" Service and atmosphere were very nice. But, the food was mediocre at best. It was resort-pricing (expectedly expensive but fine, I was willing to pay), but I would expect to be way better than it was. A pizza at Sbarro's would have been more satisfying. Very disappointed.

If this had been a $40 meal, that would be one thing. But it was much, much, much more expensive and we would have gotten a better prepared, more flavorful meal had we walked across the street to the Cracker Barrel. I think this place has been tasked with pretending to be a high end Italian restaurant for folks who want bland food. Try to be everything to all people and you end up as nothing. The servers are clearly under pressure to upsell. And even though the restaurant was fairly empty, one of our dishes was quite greasy - as if it had been under the heat lamp too long. Once you're in the Opryland complex, it's tempting to stay. I encourage you - if you want a good meal, you best venture beyond the borders of the compound. I'm giving them two stars - purely in recognition of the fact that it was clean and no one dumped out food in our laps.

Staying at the Gaylord and was recommended this restaurant because they said the free bread basket was great. They no longer do a bread basket but you can purchase garlic rolls. The food was delicious and service was great. Not busy at all probably because people think it’s closed. It is open weekends now but we were told will be open evenings 6 days a week probably due to Christmas at the Gaylord.

Do not pay for this experience. Some families were seated on the patio looking out on the Garden Conservatory. This area was decorated with the Peanuts gang decor and the characters walked through this area frequently. Although we paid the same price for our tickets, we were placed in a dark room in the back in isolation. It was one more depressing thing to add to 2020. If you want to sell tiered tickets, that is understandable, but you didn’t. I was so disappointed because you always pay too much for these things for sub par food, but you at least hope for the experience. As we left, my husband had to go back in to ask for our souvenir character pic. The hostess told him, “Be glad that you weren’t here yesterday.” C’mon Gaylord. Take a lesson from Disney. I could’ve gotten a better experience at ihop.

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Ravello. The hostess was very nice and let us know we could pick out a free dessert. The food was delicious and the service was good. My husband got veal picatta and I got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. We both had the tiramisu and it came with a little edible cookie that said anniversary. It was so cute and yummy.
