Stepping through the front door of The Patterson House into the foyer with its fireplace & old leather armchairs feels like you've been invited to wait in the salon of a manor lord. Then, they part the heavy velvet drape & usher you to where...More

We went just after they first opened and thought it fantastic! Came back now, 6 years later. Service was slow even though we were there early on a Sunday evening. Drinks overpriced for the amount served. Cannot recommend this when almost everyone in town now...More

This is a very quaint bar. The service and wine were very good. Most of the customers were drinking cocktails, which looked very good. The food menu is minimal, mostly small plate/appetizers.

Patterson house is an interesting concept, old time speakeasy style with craft cocktails. Arriving at 5:30 on a Sunday, seated immediately, then wait, wait, wait. The staff appeared to be short about by about 3, hostess was reading a book when we arrived and appeared...More

I've been wanting to try The Patterson House for some time. One chance conversation and a crazy day at work later, and I found myself seated at the bar with friends. Everything I read about an evening here did not even come close to how...More

My wife and I stopped here Saturday night for cocktails and it was amazing. There is about a 30 minute wait to get in but boy is it worth it. The atmosphere is romantic and the bar tender puts on a show concocting your drink....More

This is a great bar harking back to the Prohibition days. It may be a little hard to find (we used Google Maps as we were walking), but it is definitely a find!! Once you walk in, you are escorted behind a curtain to a...More

When you walk up don't be fooled by the entrance. They will lead you behind a curtain and that's where the magic happens. The cocktails are very intricate. Some sound and taste great and some do not. I would go for just the experience. It's...More

Agreed with others who have said it's a bit pretentious without necessarily deserving that uppity-ness. The cocktails are good, but they're not really a world-class cocktail spot, and the "speakeasy" vibe didn't feel carried through into the bar area. The building itself was a little...More

Classic and historical bar experience in a unique setting. While the drink menu is quite interesting to read thru, the bartenders are exceptionally helpful to explain and guide you so that you will try something new and enjoy it

Is there a dress code? As casual as life as life has become I would think a beanie or hat would be acceptable. Any help is appreciated!

I visted in the evening, afftee 6pm. Upscale bit casual would be the way I would describe how the clientele were dressed. There were no dress requirements posted, so I would say you would be fine in a beanie or hat.
