I stopped here today to kill a couple hours in Nashville before heading to the airport. I was with my wife expecting to get a good coffee and pastry sit and chat. This place delivered on the good coffee and food. As for the place to sit however this cafe fell short due to not enough seating and less than... More

We, like many, had heard you MUST go to Pancake Pantry..the line is always wrapped around the corner, and it didn't move after 10 minutes..so we bailed and went across the street to Provence. The food was fresh and different, the staff was friendly, the coffee drinks were delightful. We couldn't understand why anyone would wait for a half hour+... More

If you are looking for a delicious pastry and coffee break or take home treats this is a great, clean friendly restaurant. Bread is worth the price.

A sweet respite from the outside world... it's busy inside, but not too busy and everything in there is yummy to the eyes and the mouth. Happened upon this place while walking around 21st street with a date. We ended up curling up next to the book shelf with a tall cup of London Fog and some pastry. I liked... More

We live in Hillsboro Village and love to support local business when we can, but this place is filthy. We had stopped going for a while because of that and decided to try again today. It was dirtier than ever. Such a shame.

My family and I grabbed a morning snack at Provence yesterday. I had not been there in about 6 or 7 years and I can not agree more with the reviewer from Dec. 2, 2016. I remember this place as a piece of France in Nashville. The pastry and dessert section was sparce and few things looked fresh. My children... More

Stopped by here for a lunch today with my ladyfriend. I used to come here a lot, circa 2003. Back then, Provence was a great place. Artisan sandwiches on freshly-baked bread, tasty soups, interesting sides, creative beverages. It was always fresh and delicate--a hipster bakery before the advent of the hipster movement. Turkey sandwiches and fruit tea--that was my go-to... More

Provence is a neat restaurant in the Hillsboro Village section of Nashville. They feature a wide range of baked goods, sandwiches, and breakfast items. Except for the baked goods, everything is made from scratch. We find breakfast to be especially good, including very fine coffee. The place is comfortable, features WiFi, and includes bottomless coffee. Service is most pleasant, as... More

Sorry. We had high expectations for this place. Wanted a quick bite after being at Vanderbilt all day. I had soup...it was ok. A roach crawled up the wall next to us as we sat down...my husband killed it quietly with a napkin.

Love love love it. Great breads, fabulous desserts. Linzor tart cookies fantastic. Chocolate croissants scrumptious. Can't say enough of the assortment of delightful breads, sliced or not, take home and even freeze in glad wrap and defrost and they are as good as sane day purchased.
