Returned on 12/14 after a kittle over a year ago's first visit. Only about an hour wait (not bad for a Saturday) but excellent service by Kristen. Ordered some great items including the buscuit sampler, a sausage and gravy w/egg bowl, and lots of bacon and sausage and more biscuits. Solid blue collar food. Also on hand well stocked shops with pre-Christmas shipping. My only gripe; I get emails non-stop for discounts for Loveless Cafe online products. Why can't I apply those discounts in person. I drove like 800 miles to Nashville. Would it kill you to give a 15% discount on jams and jelliy gift sets?

About once a year we eat at Lovelace Cafe. Our last visit, a couple weeks ago, was the least crowded we had ever seen it on a Friday night. I heard a waitress tell someone it was due to Covid. I was disappointed that the menu seems to have shrunk and there were not as many food choices this visit. Waiter was funny and sociable, beer was cold and good, biscuits and jams were heavenly. My husband devoured his chicken livers but I was not very impressed with the pork BBQ. It was dry and had a bitter wood smoke taste to it. Bun it came on was so soggy I couldn't eat it, and there was only a small dab of BBQ sauce on it. The waiter never came by after we got our food for me to ask him for more sauce. We thought the food was pricey for what we got

Southern Comfort Food - if that's your thing, hop on Hwy 100 and go - we were told 45 minutes for a table, we were seated in 30 and plowing through biscuits within mere moments of sitting down. Fried chicken is AWESOME. pulled pork is really good too!

Nice music, atmosphere and excellent waitress. Let's just say that Cracker Barrel doesn't have to worry about losing any customers to this place. I had done my research and thought this was a place "the locals eat at". Maybe years ago, but now it is just a tourist stop. My breakfast sandwich was good, but very pricey. The homefries were not homemade and arrived at room temp. My mom ordered chicken livers. They were pink inside. The mac and cheese was runny and room temp. Mom ordered the carmelized sweet potatoes, but they were room temp too and no carmelized in sight. The waitress did offer fried chicken to replace the undercooked livers. Will not be back or recommend it to anyone.

We have ate here a lot ether order the fried chicken or pork chops. We ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes with gravy and fried green tomatoes, and they give you biscuits. The chicken was aulful my husband agreed. It was overcooked so much the meat was brown under skin. Potatoes not as good as it used to, the biscuits were small and hardly no taste. The fried green tomatoes was good. Very disappointed.

Maybe an off night, but I was not thrilled. The biscuits and jam were ok. I have had better. Ordered the sampler platter. Fried chicken outside was delish, inside was not seasoned. Pulled pork- definitely have had better, smoked Turkey was fatty and dry. Sides- turnip greens were very spicy, creamed corn was weird consistency, and macaroni and cheese- my recipe at home is so much better, hubby said there bathed beans were good. Waiter was Jason from ohio. He was great. Hardest workers were the girl carrying hot biscuits and the guy bringing clean dishes back to the kitchen. We got right in without a wait but I am sure there rainy, foggy weather had a lot to do with it. I left hungry and ordered room service pizza later. My husband said it was better than our meal. Won't be back.

We have ate here numerous times, but this time was not good. My husband's friend chicken was raw and cold in the middle :/ we brought family for the first time. A manager came out and apologized and said "when we get busy they just start slinging out chicken" wow that's reassuring. Gross

We have seen lots of reviews for The Loveless Cafe, most of which are great. We were pleased to find that the reviews were accurate and both the food and the atmosphere were as good as expected. We were staying in Brentwood and had a great lunch on our way to Nashville. The drive from the Loveless Cafe to Nashville was actually quite direct and easier than the shorter drive from Brentwood on the back roads on a rainy day. Well worth the trip wherever you are heading. The gift shop has lots of great items, as well as jars of the spectacular jam. I rarely eat biscuits and jam, but I could have eaten a plate full myself. The portions are generous and the homemade Bloody Mary was a great compliment to the food. Don't miss the iconic cafe if heading south!

We were planning a picnic at Cheekwood for our family and our son’s girlfriend and her parents. We decided on takeout at Loveless due to its vicinity close to the church we were visiting (Brentwood Baptist) and its excellent reviews. This was the best picnic day ever! We called in our order and it was ready within 30 minutes. It was packaged perfectly for a picnic with plenty of biscuits, preserves, napkins, and utensils included. We also noted while there that they do not take reservations on the weekend or holidays. The wait yesterday was 2.5 hours, so come before you are hungry, put name on list, and then enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere (games, swings, gift shop, etc.). We will definitely return again and highly recommend Loveless Cafe for its excellent country cooking and exceptional southern hospitality.

We have been coming to Nashville for the least 4 years as our son attended Vanderbilt. Loveless has been on the “to do” list but is not an easy Uber ride (30 minute drive). We decided to go on a Saturday during COVID for brunch. We arrived at 11am and were told it was a 2 hour wait for a table inside. There is a gift shop and many people seemed to be shopping and waiting to be texted when their table was ready. There are also several picnic tables outside on a first come, first served basis. We hovered around a family that was finishing and grabbed their table. Our waitress Regan was wonderful. It was an unseasonably cold day (50 degrees in October) so outside was not very comfortable. We ordered the classics—fried chicken and country ham platters. Here are the pros and cons: PROS —The hash brown casserole side was the best part of the meal —The biscuits were terrific —The fried chicken was delicious. Definitely add an order of white gravy —The Bloody Mary was very good —My wife had the garden omelette and loved it —Service was great CONS —The country ham was dry, hard, extremely salty, and had an odd taste. I could barely cut it in the styrofoam container they serve outside. I left much of it and would not recommend it. —The long wait. I am just disappointed we did not get a chance to see the inside.

3 women had breakfast at this well-known establishment that has been around several decades. Greeted by the happiest hostess ever, were seated then greeted by a great waitress who brought homemade biscuits, butter, and jams. We decided to share 2 breakfasts, one was a breakfast bowl that had hashbrowns, ham, eggs, biscuit and gravy (see menu). The other was a platter with eggs choice of meat and 2 sides. Even splitting these there was too much food for us. You need to be a big eater to finish one breakfast! Every bite was delicious. Coffee was good too! After eating we looked in lobby at pictures of soooo many country music stars who have dined there. Then went to the gift shops where we got some of that delicious jam served with breakfast. You will not be disappointed with a breakfast here!!!!

On a recent trip, we actually ate here twice, one with just my partner and I, and then immediately brought our son when we picked him up from a local camp. Biscuists are smell but unlimited and delicious. They come with blackberry, strawberry, and peach preserves. Portions are large and filling and the desserts arent to be missed Great solid food with a few surprises. Very delicious.

We drove over 30mins from Nashville and waited over an hour on a rainy day to be seated. Enjoyed the gift shops and played the games while we waited. We were finally seated inside by a wonderful server, who delivered delicious warm biscuits and took our order promptly. We shared pulled pork BBQ, mac n cheese, green beans, hash brown casserole, fried ocra, and a side salad. Everything was fresh and simply delicious. We asked for a to-go-box for our remaining biscuits, so our server brought us a new batch of biscuits to-go. “Worth the drive and wait?” YES, we had an amazing and wonderful lunch experience. I highly recommend!

My husband and I visited this establishment based off the recommendation of family. We got there around 1030am on a Monday and had a 20 minute wait which was far better than I had anticipated based on previous reviews. We were told, as an alternative, we could find a table outside as they offer full-service. We opted to dine in, and the wait didn't exceed 20 minutes. Had a larger table to ourselves and were greeted by our server right away and ordered drinks. I ordered a bloody Mary (vodka versus moonshine) but was a little disappointed. Maybe I'm a bloody Mary snob (likely being from Wisconsin), but there were no garnishes other than a piece of celery and a lemon, and from the look on our server's face, I could tell they only offer one flavor when I asked for "no spice." 🤷‍♀️ oh well the biscuits were fantastic albeit the preserves offered were okay. Biscuits were great without them. Husband ordered an omelet aim try. There were a couple of stores on the grounds, but we didn't stop in any. Can say I've been there, and the biscuits were great.

The biscuits are priceless! They are worth the trip in and amongst themselves, it’s hard to screw up eggs, but biscuits are another subject. These are served hot and soft,no cat head biscuits here and the jelly’s or preserves are a perfect accompaniment. Loveless Cafe is definitely worth the effort.
