About
Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar, formerly home to the Boots Randolph Carousel Club, is a New Orleans themed blues bar that welcomes you with a glowing neon sign and strings of twinkling lights suspended from wrought-iron balconies overhead. If you have any trouble finding it, you can simply listen for blues music coming out of the venue, as we play live music all day, every day. Since opening in 1995, more than 100 blues musicians have graced the stage at Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar, including legends such as James Brown and B.B. King. If you want a taste of the Crescent City, this is the place to go. Serving up authentic Cajun food, cold beer and signature cocktails, it's hard not to have a good time at Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar. The Big Easy Hurricane and the NOLA Sweet Tea are two cocktails you cannot go wrong with, and our Voodoo Wings (chicken wings covered in their signature Voodoo sauce) make the perfect late-night snack for any partygoers. We are an intimate club that packs out quickly and will keep you dancing all night long. Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler- Let The Good Times Roll!

Arrived in Nashville Thursday night and came here for some music. Very friendly and amazing blues band. Sat night was standing room only with lots of seats reserved so if you want a good seat reserve it

This place never disappoints. We come here every visit and it’s just awesome. It’s small and the stage is right there. The waitresses really hustle and you get your drinks and food really fast. The cover charge in the evening is a bit of a downer but the music definitely makes it worth it all.

It was fun quite a few times until we stopped in last night (Thursday) and the woman at the door was not very nice or welcoming. She insisted in a bossy way we line up to come in and there is no place for a line in that alley and we are not children. She helped the people behind us before she helped us which was on purpose and she wanted a cover charge to get in and had a fist full of money in her hand. She is not good for business. We were there 3 other times this week and it was fun until last night.

Had a great time at Bourbon Street as we stopped by today for supper. I was hoping for some blues but the band with Ceron Mays and Latavius Mulzac was excellent event though they did not play blues. Our meal was excellent as well, the only miss was the alligator bites as they were quite chewy. My shrimp and crayfish etouffee was very tasty and wife enjoyed her fried catfish. Meals and drinks were reasonably priced and great atmosphere, highly recommended.

Went here before noon on a Saturday with 7 adult friends and enjoyed great blues music, wonderful service and a nice variety of well made cocktails. Felt like “classic old school” Nashville. Spent roughly two hours at the start of a long day on Broadway and this was the most talked about venue at the end of our trip.

Indeed, I did have just one night, and my Nashville friend said: I know this great place. So 8pm on a Friday night, we walked past all those other joints around Broadway, and came here. This is the greatest! fantastic atmosphere, and Loose Lips were playing. And did they rock! Cross a continent to see them (I did, lol). They are what rock was invented for. Benny Carl, their lead, does astounding things with his body and a harmonica. The whole crew, six amazing musicians, leave it all on the stage. They got the audience swaying, cheering, waving. Catch them and this place while you can. These guys are the real deal. The best of huntin' fishin' rockin' raw-bones America. Come warm yourself by that fire.

This is such a great spot with awesome music. It's a multi-level venue with plenty of seating and standing room. We got lucky and scored four seats on the upper level and completely enjoyed the three or four hours we spent there. Our server worked her butt off and was so pleasant considering how many people she was waiting on. The Stacy Mitchhart Band was wonderful - some much energy with such great sound. Would love to go back again and see other bands in this space but wouldn't hesitate seeing the Stacy Mitchhart Band again.

We visited this amazing Blues Bar 2 times so far this visit to Nashville. This has to be one of my favourite bars because the music is amazing if you love Blues, it will not disappoint. I tried booking reservations 3-4 weeks in advance online but all the good tables were already gone. Their website could do with a better booking system. The staff at the front door were friendly and remembered us 2 nights later… impressive given how packed the bar was. The 12 piece band that played blues and funk was so great the entire bar were on their feet dancing. Bar staff were fast but not overly friendly as this seems to be a theme in Nashville. The first night the Stacy Mitchheart house band played and Saturday night Super T Band. I will come back here every visit. We did not try any food.

We didn’t eat here so cannot comment on the food. Drinks reasonably priced and the live bands were top notch.
Visited a second time and, as it was early in the day, requested orange juice. Bar server gave them to us free of charge and thanked us for drinking responsibly!

We stopped here before dinner. It looks kinda rough inside. A hodgepodge of decor and black lights. There was only 4 people inside and they had 2 guys playing music. It was Christmas eve. The drinks are very expensive and cheaply made. We stayed about 20 minutes and we to a different place. It wasn't what we wanted.

We checked out this music bar in Nashville's Printers Alley because in was a 5 minute walk from our hotel. We visited here Sunday 9/24/23 about 5pm. This area is an eclectic street full of music, art, & photo shoots. Everything from blues, boogie, cajun & creole to field holler country music.
This was dimly light and everyone seemed to have that neon bar light complexion. a trio of musicians was hitting their stride and by their banter with the audience seem to be enjoying their regular gig. We were only here for the music & drinks. Comfortable, no frills, but cold beers & good music.
Hours: Mon & Tue open at 4pm. Wed-Sun open at 11am. No cover charge.
This is a walking area. We didn't see any public parking nearby.
Fun place for drinks & music. Check it out. Thanks to the staff.

If you're looking for a place for a drink, music of the blues and other standards, in a loud environment, this may be the place for you. Don't plan to do much talking and listening--that's best outside. The small stage is prominent, with most seats pointing toward the stage. Service was good.
It appears to cater to the tourists with good music and stiff drink prices. Enjoy.

This place was recommended by our hotel barman, and we were so thankful he told us about this place.
We went to watch Loose Lips, securing the last two tickets. Unfortunately I was unable to book via their we website so I directly communicated with the bar, they were great an secured us tickets and booked us a table.
The place was packed, so I was really grateful for our booking. When we arrived our table was reserved but others had take it, the bar staff quickly and efficiently dealt with that.
Drinks and food were good, it’s not fine dining so don’t go expecting! A lot of fried foods, just what we expected really.
The place is so much fun and an absolute must go place in Nashville! Loose lips were brilliant, so would recommend seeing them if you can.

For a good time and less crowds get off Broadway and head to Printer’s Alley. Bourbon Street Blues offers great up and coming artists, as well as, professionals that have been here for years. Offers 3 levels of listening options and a full creole and deep southern menu. Can’t go wrong with the dry rubbed wings, gumbo, and étoffé(sp?). Stay for the music and late night acts
