My husband and I both had the BBQ prawn and bootleggers steak. Both are an absolute must!! We enjoyed the prawn so much we ordered another plate! Atmosphere is inviting and our server Isaac was excellent. Highly recommended for a new experience and excellent food!

I ordered my strip at Medium rare and it had little pink in it. The house salad was not good and when someone in our party ordered a wedge, it was "naked".....just a quarter head of iceberg....no bacon, no tomatoes, no blue cheese! Glad I did not pay $5+ for that! The hoe cakes were good warm and the baked... More

My husband and I went on a date here last night. While the atmosphere was nice and the service was ok, we were not at all impressed with the food. I ordered the filet cooked medium/medium well. When it arrived and I cut into it, I was surprised to find it even more red and bloody than my husband's medium... More

Beef! It's what's for dinner at Jimmy Kelly's. If you don't like USDA Prime Beef, plan on eating someplace else. If you love a steak, and the best waiters, in the world, go to Jimmy Kelly's. Make a reservation online, or you can forget about it. Don't care for steak? Jimmy Kelly's has great grilled salmon or perhaps, the Chilean... More

This is a well established steakhouse in Nashville. It's expensive but so worth the price! The filet was so tender, it melted in your mouth! I've also had the salmon but will always have beef from now on. A great place to celebrate a special occasion?

This place has been in business since 1934 and still holds their highest standards of excellence in food and service. Housed in an old mansion with some staff seemingly having been there from the start it is just a great place if you are over 40. Younger folks will feel out of place with the decor and white glove treatment.... More

Excellent! Menu lists it for two, but they will prepare for one. Very tender, sauce and mushrooms were excellent. Cannot wait to try it again.

We've been to Jimmy Kelly's 5-6 times this past year. You have to try the Blue cheese stuffed filet. Have it blackened as well. You will thank me. And props to Marcus. Great server. Takes care of business. The general manager Otis makes sure things run well. One of our top places to go before a show at the Ryman... More

A solid throw back steak house, literally. Great house setting appointed with conservative "old school" decor. It was like eating with family in a residence setting. Offered your typical steak house cuts with extensive side dish options and wine list. All good but excelled in that it was not your typical cookie cutter steak house chain setting. Service was very... More

Housed in a glorious Southern mansion in the heart of Music City, Jimmy Kelly’s continues to be the standard by which all American steakhouses are measured. Founded in 1934 while the country was in the throes of the Great Depression and just one year removed from the repeal of prohibition, Jimmy Kelly made a promise to himself and his diners. Simply put, he would serve a great steak, a generous portion of whiskey and insure the service was always attentive. Making good on that promise has been the cornerstone of the restaurant’s success and enabled it to survive and flourish. Now over 80 years later and operated by the third generation of Kellys, it has earned a reputation as one of the grand old restaurants not only in Nashville but the entire southeast. Come anytime and enjoy a great steak and a generous portion of whiskey!
