Nice atmosphere, excellent service, generous portions. Four ate for $55 + tip. I would definitely recommend Caney Fork for an interesting meal. Small children may be anxious about the many mounted animals. Okra & green tomatoes fried to perfection. Bison burger was moist and flavorful....More

The ribs are so good. So is the pulled pork. The barbecue sauce is Excellent. I recently visited the renowned Joe's barbecue in Kansas City, voted the best in KC, and actually liked Candy Forks flavors better. The ambience is interesting without being crowded. If...More

Went here for lunch. Immediately seated near the pond. Food was excellent. I had the flat iron steak and it was prepared to perfection. My wife had the wings and thoroughly enjoyed them. Oversized portions. Onion rings were very good. Lightly breaded. Enjoyed this restaurant....More

My husband wanted to go here because my older son and him had eaten catfish sandwiches here 3 years ago. They both said it was great. So, I was looking forward to our lunch and so was he. The complimentary corn puffs are pretty good....More

Ask for Megan. She is so attentive and really knows the menu. Portions are large. Really tasty ribs, catfish & corn fritters. Kind of a hunting lodge décor. Catfish pond and waterfall in the rear provide a nice relaxing touch. Several wild game items on...More

Sorry, I don't know but I do know that they fry their fries in the same oil as the fish because we inquired about shellfish allergies.

For my husband and I it would be considered a short walk. Maybe 20 minutes. So yes, if you are in fairly good shape, you could walk to this restaurant.
