Scotties is a family owned and operated restaurant. The food is cooked right in front of you if you sit at the counter. They will make anything that uses the ingredients they have on hand, even if it is not on the menu. My husband and I frequented this diner for many years before he passed away. I still go... More

Food was excellent. Really enjoyed the Bacon Omelet. The place is a bit nostalgic... which I like. I liked the old fashioned open kitchen set up. If your looking for ambiance this is not the place for you.

First off this is a CASH place only. Second it is a little smoky in reference to food smoke not cigarette. The two ladies that run it are really nice and it is best to go in the afternoon, Sunday mornings forget about it it is packed. about seating for 25 and that is about it. This is a old... More

The food is awesome! Food just like Mamaw used to make. Sometimes you may have to wait if it's during a rush hour but it is well worth the wait! Everyone talks to each other and it is like stepping back in time to a better way of life.

Not exactly low-fat since most orders are cooked on a flattop so the bacon grease from frying the bacon gets into most everything - but it sure tastes good! Breakfasts are quite good, with large portions at reasonable prices. Breakfast is served all day, except for the biscuits/gravy - they make one large batch of gravy every day, and when... More

If grease is your thing than you'll love Scotties. The food was ok, but they were not very sanitary. They handled the cash, dirty plates, and wiped the counters all with the same hands that touched the raw meat and other food preparations. I highly recommend to think twice before going.

My wife and I have wanted to eat here ever since her dad moved to the Powell area. Finally we decided to take the plunge and eat here for lunch on my birthday last month. We were not disappointed. This is easily one of the best mom and pop diners left in Knoxville. I got pancakes, she got a burger.... More

My boyfriend and I had been wanting to try this hole in the wall diner for a while now so we thought this morning was a perfect opportunity. The building and pretty much everything inside is all original. We found two stools immediately and sat at their bar (only other seating is a few tables to the right). The food... More

Scotties has been in this location for as long as I can remember. I use to go as a child growing up in Powell. It looks like an old road-side diner and it is just that. But, the food is great and the prices are even better. Great breakfast (all day), good burgers, etc. Try it. You'll be glad you... More

It's a place not for the faint of heart as it's pretty much in the same condition it was when this small chain started back in the 60's. They make a great cheeseburger with real fried onions, and their breakfast is awesome. If you are looking for healthy fare with salad, this is not for you, but if you want... More
