I have been to the Apple Barn/ Applewood Farmhouse several times over the past couple of years. This last time, it was just not good. Our waitress was amazing, but the food and the amount of time it took to receive it, was not. Now, we were in a group of seventeen, but that is no excuse for it taking... More

The food was pretty good. A little bit generic home cooking. The apple fritters were really delicious though!

First time to eat here even though we come to the Smokey's 2-3 times a year. It was okay. The fried chicken was fair. The teriyaki chicken was very good. The rest of the food was just okay. I would skip this and go for The Old Mill. I had heard such great things about the Applewood place, but it... More

The restaurant is always good. Apple fritters with apple julep cant be beat. The atmosphere is great as well as the waitress. The food has always been good. The gift shop has something for everyone. Go upstairs and see the mountain gifts to take home for yourself or as gifts. The jars of homemade food is great for traveling back... More

If the Applewood farmhouse restaurant has too much of a wait, we will go the Grill. Same great food, sometimes less of a wait.

Thank you for checking out our sister restaurant, the Grill. The food is very similar to the Farmhouse and just as delicious, so always feel free to visit either one. Just to note, during the winter, the Grill is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and the Farmhouse is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We would love to see you again... More

What a delightful breakfast! It begins with apple julips and apple muffins! The omelets were delicious! Sides of potatoes and stewed apples completed the feast!!!

Your review made me smile as we used to have a section on our menu called the "Bountiful Breakfast." Maybe that title needs to make a return...thank you for your business and please come and dine with us anytime! More

Nice local restaurant. Had a fabulous waitress and food was excellent, at a fair price. Complimentary fritters are a wonderful start. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had a late dinner here our first night in TN. The apple fritters and apple butter were amazing! The vegetable soup and chicken soup were both really good. I had the potpie as my entree. It was fair. The top center crust wasn't baked thoroughly, and the gravy had an odd flavor. Not sure if it... More

Thank you for the detailed review- it's always really helpful to us when guests provide us with some positive and some things we could work on. The gravy in the pot pie is a mixture of white gravy and chicken stock, so we will definitely check to see if our cooks are making it to the recipe and baking them... More
