A large group of our camping friends ate dinner together here. Despite the sudden influx of customers, the wait staff and kitchen were able to keep up. The food was great. Our table had a fish sandwich, fried chicken salad and fried bologna (yep) sandwiches. Entrees and sides were very good. Most fried okra I've ever seen on one plate.... More

The menu has more items than the cafe has seats. The chili, grouper and fried okra were pretty good and the reuben was delicious, but the fries were flavorless. There were a dozen pies, cakes, and brownies listed on the board. We tried the chocolate fudge cake and the hummingbird cake - both yummy, but not 5 stars. Service was... More

The food itself wasn't the best but the desert was ok. The food was overpriced and you could tell it had been sitting out for a while.

Ate supper here our first night in town. Great food - portions on veggies were huge. Our servet (Vanessa) was so kind and attentive. Definitely will be back.

We ate there twice and we were very pleased. They have good food and great homemade desserts. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I do find the food a bit pricey but if you don't mind paying it is well worth it.

We've eaten there several times and have never been disappointed. It is a family owned restaurant and they seem to take pride in the way the prepare and serve there food. You won't be disappointed.

Really good home style food for the family. A bit small but the service is outstanding. Super home made desserts. It helps to get there early due to their size but the wait was never longer than 10 min. Worth the time and money.

Stopped for lunch at the Black Bear Cafe on the way out of Great Smokey Mountains National Park. The grouper fillet and fried okra were among the best I've ever had. Wonderful friendly service.
