After reading some mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. The service was fast and friendly, the food fresh and tasty. I'll definitely be back

We had seen Steves' Market and Deli mentioned as one of the "hidden gems" in the March Texas Monthly, so while camping at Brownwood State Park, we decided to drive into the city to have lunch at Steves.' We were warmly greeted as we enjoyed looking at all the interesting decor. We had no idea how huge and how wonderful... More

Great service and wonderfully delicious food! It's a little pricey but worth it when you want to treat yourself. Steve was so sweet, it was a little chilly and he accommodated us by turning the air conditioning down. The dining room was very eclectic in décor and there were some unique items for sale besides lunch fare. I thoroughly enjoyed... More

Super soup and salads. Unique decor, very crowded at noon, but the doctors and hospital staff take out a lot of sandwiches. Out side dining if weather is ok. Long lines at times. Unique taste to all they serve. These are not your typical sandwiches

Steve's offers good food made with fresh ingredients. The fare consists of salads, sandwiches, soups and other good stuff. Check out the menu but I believe they may be closed on Mondays.

Steve's is our families restaurant of choice in all of Brownwood. It is open only for lunch but they make incredible soups, sandwiches and the best Saffron rice with black beans! It's small so get there early or just enjoy the wait. No credit cards just cash and checks. You'll feel like your dining in Austin or maybe even Colorado!!... More

Call ahead for carry out or go early. Downtown, limited seating excellent food. Not your ordinary sandwich shop. A local treasure. Very popular

I have been here twice on road trips out West and both times super pleased with the food and ambience. The cozy little restaurant in Downtown Brownwood is total eye candy. It is like being served right from someone's home kitchen and getting to look at all their crazy collections. I especially encourage you to check out the restroom and... More
