Stopped for breakfast when we were visiting family in town because we like to go to local restaurants instead of chain restaurants. Wonderful pork chops and omelettes. Coffee was self-serve and good. Bathrooms were amazingly clean. Nice and friendly people! I'd go back for sure!

Went to the new Shannon's today for lunch. Two plates, two drinks, and two cobblers cost $35. It's good, but not that good. I asked cashier why the cost was so much? The reply was that each plate was $9. ?? I said, "I only have two plates? You're telling me I have $17 worth of drinks and cobblers?" With... More

On July 9th, Shannon's opened their new restaurant next door to the original cafe. It is upscale now and the food remains good as always. If you like Soul Food/Country cooking, this is a wonderful place to eat. I ate at the old cafe for lots of years. The new place is quite clean, the service is good, and food... More

Love this place! Greens, beans, fried chicken, beef tips over rice, steamed chicken, and hamburger steak are outstanding. All of their food takes me back home in my mind. The employees/owners are ever so friendly, too! Save room for their delicious peach cobbler. Also try their mini sweet potato pies made by Grandma, and you'll swoon for more! I would... More

Great home cooked food, service was good, and family owned and operated! Yes you can tell! Reminds me of my grandmas cooking and everyone should love that! Fried pork chops, cabbage, black eyed peas, meatloaf, mashed taters and cornbread DELICIOUS! Food so good you'll wanna slap yo Momma! (But don't slap yo Momma cause she will slap ya back! Lol)

I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious variety of foods. The hamburger steak and gravy was exceptional. The service was great too. Family owned, family run. Very good food.

Don't go here if you have a slow pitch softball game that night. You will still be full. You get plenty of good food at a decent price.
