Stopped in a late on weekday afternoon to get some curry goat and was not disappointed. A few more bones than I would like, but still plenty of meat. I will return.

We went as a group for brunch on Sunday and we had a great time. The food was delicious and it is a great location. Lots of good choices are on the menu and the drinks are really good. Definitely recommend if you are in the mood for a little island getaway in the state of Texas.

We had meat patties, jerk chicken, salad with mango dressing and french fries. Everything was delicious. The service wasvery good and we thought the food authentic. We've been to Jamaica twice. We are anxious to go back and try some other dishes. Next time we're going to try lunch; they do have a lunch menu. Our only complaint was that... More

Staff are friendly and on the spot. Food was good and lunch prices not bad. Average $10 a person. Tried jerk chicken. It was nice and spicey. Tried coconut shrimp. Wasn't from a box! Fresh! Not sure what the salty sauce was.

The waitresses were very nice and friendly. I always enjoy their fried plantains and good ole jerk chicken! I also tried the 2 meat meal with jerk chicken and fish...and the fish was the bomb too...I wanna go there everyday.

The meal was served in a nice atmosphere and tasted as authentic as could be expected. While jerk was not prepared on a grill, the food was tasty.

Just enough 🔥 heat 🔥 to hit the spot. My sister had the "Mama Joyce chicken" juicy but not drippy with just enough flavor. It was Perfection. Highly recommended. I had the "Mama Joyce oxtail" and all I can say is "fell of the bone good" and the ox tail gravy mmm icing on the cake. Highly recommended. My brother... More

I had Sunday brunch at the Dallas location and it was great. Atmosphere was nice, food was flavorful, and the service was magnificent. We had the jerk shrimp and grits, Oxtails with cabbage and rice and beans, beef patties, and unlimited mimosas.

This place is the real deal. Authentic Jamaican quisine. Whole steamed snapper reminded me of the island. The patties were good. Looked a bit different but the taste was right on. Appletons and coke...taste like home to me. Oxtail and jerk. The rice and peas were perfect. The price is good. Well worth your time. The pictures look like windows... More

Island life is far superior to regular life partly because of the laid-back attitudes, and partly because of fried plantain. Leave your crazy schedule at home and sit back to enjoy a Jamaican-inspired meal at The Island Spot, a delightful lunch or dinner destination serving up exotically spiced tropical treats.

The enticing menu includes vacation staples such as Jerk Chicken (served with two sides), Signature BBQ Ribs, succulent Curry Shrimp, and so much more. Take a break from ho-hum winter blues and spice up your lunch or dinner at this oasis in the city.
