OMG! I loved this place. Our basketball team of girls came to College Station for our Regionals. So some of the parents came to Dixie Chicken for some drinks and a night out. Wow! What a fun place to visit. I was always told, that when you visit College Station, you just need to stop here. Unfortunately, we didn't try... More

Funky, unique place to hang. This place has been around forever! The food is OK, but you go there for the atmosphere. There are pool tables and an outdoor area.

The surroundings are nice, very country Texas style. There are no waiters or waitresses, you order at the crowded counter and wait for your name to be called. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of room inside and out, mostly benches. There is a bar atmosphere in the back with pool tables. The chicken had no taste. The... More

The Dixie Chicken is a great time. Nostalgic in this area. Learned to play domino's 42. Fun game! Laughed, played and had a great time. The one negative is that you can only buy one drink at a time and a pitcher of beer requires 2 people. This is very inconvenient especially as at 45+ years old.

Fun place to hang out in aggieland, have a good burger and a cold beer. One of my favorites is the burger with jalapeños and hot sauce.

We came here after a football game (Several hours after the game) and had a beer, played a game or three of 42 with friends. We were going to eat, but could never find anyone to order food from, lots of people running around, but no one could bother with us, could not even get a second beer. Went there... More

I took my mother there as a college station experience, extremely disappointed. The food was horrible, the guy at the counter was very rude and impatient and it smelled so bad inside we had to sit outside. My children were covering their noses with their shirts ( that should have been our sign to not even order). I do not... More

The food was pretty good but the place was packed. It was a game day so there was no place to sit. I wouldn't go there again on a game day because we had to sit outside and eat our food and it was cold that night.

Was attending a ballgame and had been referred to here by a friend......It's 'bar food' so don't expect fine dining......You walk up to a counter (well wait in a line on game day), place your order...when it's done they call out your name......We both had a double cheeseburger and it was excellent......Was it the best I ever had, no, but... Good food, not actually known for chicken. Burger and fries are great. Pub atmosphere. Great place to stop
