This was my second stop in the last two years traveling thru here. First time I said I won't be back...well maybe they had a bad day...nooooo. It's just bad all the Time. This is susposed to be BBQ. It's more like warmed up spam. I don't see how they stay in business. The only thing good was the sliced... More

I have been eating at mikeskas bbq for many years but only occasionally as it is out of my way. Every time I do eat there it is consistantly good and the prices are very reasonable. Some people are blown away by all the stuffed animals but I enjoy looking at them.

Great place to eat between Houston and San Antonio. I have seen MIkeska's from the highway for years and finally got around to stopping. Glad I did. Great sausage. Good brisket. Tender ribs, but a little bland. Chicken was good too. Lille the ribs, a little under-seasoned. But that may just be a personal preference. Comfortable area to sit and... More

Stopped for some Texas BBQ. It did not disappointe. Wife had brisket sandwich and I da ribs. The meat was falling off the bone lite sauce did the meat justice. Cool atmosphere in hunting motif. Kids seemed to enjoy lots a room. Steady business. 5 stars.

Menu was very large with very good selection of meals. Place was very clean and well lit. Food was very good and portions good. Price was considered a little bit high, but worth the meal.

We stopped at this atmospheric and traditional Texas BBQ joint for lunch on our way to Austin. The prices were reasonable, and the food was very good. (Hubby really enjoyed the sausage.) Everyone was very friendly, and we even visited briefly with the owner. If you're on your way through, skip the fast food junk and eat here instead! You'll... More

Great interstate bbq joint. Great flavor for the brisket, sausage, and ribs. I didn't even want to use the sauce it comes with.

Food is good, so is service. The only drawback for me is all the stuffed animals and fish adorning all the walls and areas of the floor. Their Sunday Buffet is the best time to go for the most variety and to meet the owner, still active in his late 80's and working the crowd.

We always stop for brisket and sausage. Even have friends passing this way bring it back for us. Sides are not that great but service us good and bathrooms are clean . always a good stop.
