Good fresh fish at a reasonable price. Everything was made fresh to order. The shrimp boil was excellent. I had the grilled salmon which was also very good and the fried shrimp were perfect. Skip the hush puppies. They were doughy and bland.

Hubby wanted some boiled shrimp...not a whole meal, just a few steamed shrimp. As soon as he mentioned shrimp I saw the Hook Line and Sinker well-lit sign. We went in and he ordered 6 shrimp and I just got a small order of hush puppies. After placing our order at the walk up counter, we got our drinks from... More

We love this place. It is quite casual. You order at the counter. They have a nice selection of fish baskets and dinners. The fish always tastes fresh. I also enjoy their pickled green tomatoes. They have bottles of beer and small bottles of wine. It is quiet enough that you can actually hold a conversation!

Crab and shrimp boil used to be one of our favorite dishes at this restaurant. We have eaten here many times because the crab and shrimp boil was always great. Last night we were terribly disappointed. Vegetables were horribly overcooked and the crab clusters were still cold. Doubtful we will return.

We tried this place as we are always looking for a good fish shack and it was good but not great. The seafood could use some seasoning as the food was pretty bland. Oyster po'boy was fair but the oysters were tasteless. On the plus side, the toasted bun was a good touch. Catfish platter was cooked well but again,... More

I love seafood and I have eaten it all my life and many different countries. So I was surprised by the quality and freshness of the food at Hook Line and Sinker. The oysters were fresh and quiet large by Dallas standards, The crab was a real treat as well.

Hook Line N Sinker continues to be one of the best Golf Coast sea food restaurants in the area. Try the trout and don't miss the coleslaw.

Raised in the deep south I know fried fish and oysters. This was mediocre at best. Corn meal type coating that had more taste than what we were told was catfish. The strangest hush puppies I've ever had!! Shrimp was dry and almost hard. Oysters - who knows? There are other similar places in town that far out pace this... More

SO disappointed with this experience. They catfish was okay but hardly any seasoning. The fried shrimp was pounded out then fried - dry and also bland. The shrimp etouffee had six small shrimp, a dollop of under-cooked rice and a bowlful of onions and celery in a watery liquid. The red beans and rice had a kick to them but... More

This laid-back place with a coastal feel had live jazz after 6:30 on Saturday night. There are several TVs to watch the football games. Serving beer, wine and Margaritas in addition to soft drinks. I ordered the Shrimp Po' Boy and a cup of gumbo. My friend ordered catfish. He liked his catfish & fries. My gumbo was pretty good,... More
