The best place to eat breakfast and lunch, ( they close after 2pm) they specialize in home style plates and they are all great. This is where the police eat breakfast and lunch. BTW their deserts are to die for.

This place is a small diner, but has a great breakfast. Whenever we are in town, we like to eat here. It's small, so some days it can be a challenge to find a table, but it is definitely good food. And be sure to get the Biscuit with your breakfast instead of the toast. They make the best biscuits!

This tiny restaurant has home made pies that melt in your mouth. From the outside it doesn't look like anything special, but the food is amazing. Great southern fried chicken, or mashed potatoes with homestyle gravy. Go there with an appetite and leave feeling full and content. Would highly recommend for good home style food.

Call for directions as the trip advisor is wrong and you don't want to miss eating here! Precious and full of history! Simple menu but enough choices to satisfy everyone! Breakfast Burritos were great and must try biscuits!

Quaint local restaurant, in a historical building. Offers breakfast and lunch at reasonable prices, has a daily special. Huge pies! Monday-Friday only.

Quaint restaurant with a home town feel. My wife and I was traveling through and stopped for breakfast. We both ordered western omelets and we received large portions. The waitress was friendly and courteous. We recommend the Whistlestop for an all around awesome experience with a hometown vibe. We experienced several trains passing by which added to our enjoyment.

I am steak and potatoes, fried is best, add gravy and it's even better but yesterday I just had the vegetable plate (no I am not a vegan much to my sister in law's dismay) and they were fantastic! Fried okra, pinto beans, green beans and spinach were great and well seasoned. I must admit the ladies chicken fried steak... More

The Whistle Stop was convenient to our hotel and right next the the downtown square. We were greeted with smiles and seated immediately. Excellent home cooked food. Great prices.

It's an extremely small and popular place! The food is great home cooked food with a small menu but still good choices! It gets crowded so be prepared to squeeze into a seat! Great little eatery for all the locals!

We had a delightful breakfast at the whistlestop. It's truly a gem! The address isn't correct on the site but a customer pointed out the right location. It's located next to an old petrified gas station. Hands down had the best biscuits ever! Super fluffy. Everything on the menu was top notch and down home made with love. And you... More
