We tried Sam's three times this month while going back and forth between Dallas and Houston. First time we had the breakfast buffet. I prefer butter but only saw margarine spread. We tried the lunch buffet the other two visits. The chicken fried steak is very good and fork tender. The catfish and fried chicken were also good. We did... More

I was on the phone while driving, don't recommend doing this. But my friend suggested stop at Sam's for lunch, half way between Dallas and houston. Just as I finished talking to my friend I noticed a billboard, four miles to Sam's. I stopped and to my surprise it was buffet or menu. The buffet looked great. One end was... More

If you leave hungry, it's your fault. Always fresh buffet with lots of choices. The food quality is very good with lots of salad fixings. This is definitely not a healthy choice buffet, though....

Sam's is famous on the Dallas-Houston corridor for their buffet and pies. On a trip to Dallas we stopped in the 10:30-11:00 transition period between the breakfast and noon buffets. So we just ordered pie and coffee. The pecan and lemon pies were very good but the coconut cream was the best we've have. It actually had coconut pieces in... More

If you want a sit down meal this is the place. Buffet or order off menu. Food is good, service is a little slow but all and all not a bad place to buy a meal.

Got to sams around 2pm got seated with 15 minutes which was surprising since it was full of peeps. It's always the buffet every time we stop by. Ya just can't bet the price $12.99 for buffet food is always 4 stars at sams

We stopped here on the way to Dallas for breakfast. The food was excellent and the service was great and fast. The waitress was very attentive. I highly recommend the biscuits and sausage. It is a great place to stop for a quick breakfast at a great price.

Easy to reach from hotels in the area. On the north I-35 access road. A super buffet is offered, and the menu items are available as well. My friend had the buffet and I had a breakfast from the menu (at supper time). We both enjoyed the food and the service was great. Recommend to anyone going thru the area.

Thank Charlotte O
