We really expected better from a local place. The waitress Jessel was very accommodating and polite but the food jus wasn't there. By the way, bring your own booze.

Fort Stockton doesn't have much to offer. This little restaurant is simple. It is rough, rough around the edges. But the servers were flying around as fast as they could keeping up with everyone. I thought it interesting that they hand delivered each platter, one at a time. The man would drop one off and go back to the kitchen.... More

Hit Ft Stockton on one of out trips back and forth to San Diego. Drove the streets looking for a place to eat. Saw La Casita but think it is closed. Kind of across the street saw a place with cars parked by it. What the heck, wife and I joined the parked cars. Very unassuming place with totally local... More

We randomly picked this restaurant on a stop during a road trip. I'm such glad we did because the food was very good. The restaurant isn't much to look at, it's a very unassuming place -- but the food is what you come here for. And it's well done.

What a lovely little spot to have a quick lunch on a road trip! Guacamole was fresh, tacos were freshly fried and appeared a little greasy but were heavenly. My husband had a burger and said it was delicious. Our waitress was a young girl who attended to our every need. She told us they were famous for their Menudo.... More

Friendly service, good food. Fun funky family run place. Definitely a great stop on our road trip. When you are in the area this is authentic Mexican at its best.

Stopped for a quick lunch. Service was prompt and friendly. Atmosphere is typical of a family restaurant; clean. Meals were prepared in a timely manner; were warm when served, and had good flavor. The chili relleno burrito had a not so fresh tortilla (not terrible though). The beans tasted a little greasy. Salsa was flavorful, not too spicy, and was... More

A very small restaurant, but we were seated rather quickly. The menu is somewhat limited (not unusual for a small family-run restaurant), but there are plenty of items to satisfy most people. The salsa and chips were excellent, as was our entire meal. Our server, Adana (I may not have the spelling correct) was superb, and would be a star... More
