Better late than never, I always say. Can't believe I have not reviewed Angelo's before now, but I guess many of us have an unhappy tendency to take for granted some of those things that are nearest and dearest to us. Angelo's has been my go to barbecue destination in Fort Worth for the last 39 years, as has the... More

There I said it. For me, this brisket is the benchmark by which others are measured. It's always well smoked and moist. It doesn't need sauce. The ribs and sausage are good too, as are the beans and potato salad, but I keep coming back for the brisket and super cold beer.

Angelo's is setup a lot like the typical BBQ Joints in town. Meals are ordered at the counter as you walk in and then taken to your seat. During busy times, the waits could be a little long, but nothing awful. To try more than one thing I had the 2 Meat Plate (brisket and jalapeno sausage) and both were... More

Came here intentionally after a little research online in search of the best brisket in Fort Worth as I am here on business. I must say if the this is the best brisket Fort Worth has on offer then they have some catching up to do with their brethren cities of Dallas and Austin. That's not to say it's bad... More

I loved Angelo's. I love the ribs, which were fall off the bone tender. They were so tasty and I was pleasantly surprised. The brisket was also yummy, but was a little tough once it got cold. The cold slaw and the potato salad were divine sides. What I loved the most out of the experience, was how well taking... More

Came here for a family event. Homey atmosphere, picnic tables and uncomfortable plastic chairs. We were really packed in. I enjoy a good bbq, so happy to try something new. The bad: Can't say I'm a fan of the bbq "sauce", ok vinegar based sauce, but really watery. NOISY Wait staff was a little slow but met our needs. The... More

Angelos is awesome if you're into authentic Texas BBQ. The food was incredible and the decor is fantastic for those of us that hunt. There are mounts from all over the world hanging on the walls. I was lucky enough to meet Skeet who owns the place. His dad started Angelos in '59 and now his son is taking over... More

I have eaten here a number of times and they never disappoint. The food is beyond excellent. The insides are old and plenty of animal mounts through out. The building is in the middle of an industrial area and you would not expect such good food to come out of the building but you will be surprised. I was there... More
