I haven't been here since the 1980's and was so excited to eat here again as I remembered the food was the best in Fort Worth, I have no idea what happened but, what I was served was a plate of mush. I had the Mexican dinner and the beans were a mashed up tasteless mess. The rice was bland... More

Fort Worth's oldest restaurant was a nice surprise. They got us in and out quickly on a night when we were running late for a downtown show . We ate light because we were in a hurry - but everything we tried was great , will go back for more .

The Signature Roosevelt is our "go to" at The Original. Especially delicious with two over easy eggs on the enchiladas!

It was obvious that everyone knew everyone (except for us)! Also, felt that we were treated differently because we were not regulars. Service was good; food was good, but could have been better with some small changes. For example, quesadilla was served with small amount shredded iceberg and diced tomato; no sour cream, no guacamole. Chips and salsa are good.

If the saying, "Eat where the locals eat" is true for you, then this restaurant tops the list. My childhood memories include trips the the Original with a great aunt to her favorite place to eat on earth. I revisited the Original a couple of weeks ago. The improvements to the building including outdoor covered patio and fully stocked bar... More

Been here forever. Best tex mex enchiladas and tacos. Cheese tacos wonderful too. Warm, soft corn tortillas served. Chips are so so. Hot sauce tomatoey, and bland. Beans very flavorful. Can be a little inconsistent.

We were in the area and had only tried this place once before many years ago. It was a little pricey for lunch but the food was fantastic. I had a grilled chicken breast and my mom had cheese enchiladas. You get a lot of food for your money. The chips and salsa was amazing! We were both very pleased... More

Oldest Mexican restaurant in Fort Worth! Hot sauce, queso, enchiladas, soft meat tacos, margaritas-all the best in town. Get past the lack of parking, well worth the visit.
