This was in walking distance to our hotel so we tried it. We were not impressed with the pancakes or the crepes.

We hoped for a great breakfast and it was just average. The Belgium waffles were disappointing because they use frozen strawberries. The biscuits were not the good biscuits like Ruth's diner in SLC they were more like a roll. The hamburger steak was dry. The German pancakes again would have been amazing with fresh strawberries instead of the frozen mushy... More

Prices are high in comparison to the small food portions ... $7.99 for two small eggs, two small sausage patties and three small pancakes. This is a dated cafe style set-up but definitely a local fav. On a positive note the pancakes are very flavorful and the breakfast potatoes were outstanding. We will not return given the breakfast price/portion.

Great place to meet up when you are visiting someone at TCU or just in the area. It is across from a great shopping center and right off of the highway. Food is delicious and they serve breakfast all of the time. It has an old diner feel - you never wait more than 10 minutes for a table, the... More

I hoped a place with a name like theirs would've had better pancakes. Had a egg and sausage breaskfast, with 3 pancakes. Pancakes were dry and flavorless, and the syrup tasted like it was sugar free. I had looked forward to trying them on my recent trip this time. Nothing like I had hoped.

Spacious restaurant, well-loved furnishings. Mostly a local crowd in the primary dining area, but more tourists toward the back. A sweet server brought us our food promptly. The fare was standard American breakfast for us. Good enough, average.

Finally had the chance to eat here after many visits to FW. I wasn't overly impressed but wasn't disappointed. Food is good. Yes, the German pancakes are good. Serving sizes are hearty. Can say I ate there.

My final and last time to visit this restaurant I had to swat the flies out of my food. I was taking friends so they could have a Fort Worth Traditional Experience. Needless to say I was more embarrassed than words can express. And the services was terrible which usually has always been so was expecting that, but not fly... More

A desk clerk at our hotel recommended this place and we were pleasantly surprised at how good it is. A very spacious cafe with excellent service, it has hearty home style cooking, apparently 24/7. We went for brunch, and while crowded, we did not have to wait to be seated or get served. Plates are generous and prices are fair.... More

If you want something r-e-a-l-l-y different for breakfast, go to the Ol' South Pancake House on University for their German Pancakes or Dutch Babies (smaller size German Pancakes). YUMMY!!!!!!! The final preparation is done right at your table. Big hint: don't forget the lemon juice and powered sugar. You absolutely can't go wrong ordering this dish. Their Crepes are delicious... More
