This used to be one of our favorite restaurants but it's gone downhill. We arrived there on a Wednesday night and the place only had 2 other tables with customers. There were 5 adults and a baby in our party. Service was very slow it took at least 15 min just to get a drink. Three of us ordered crab... More

Another gem in a small tourist town of Fredericksburg TX - only opened for dinner/7 days/week. Southern cuisine blended with old and new Mexican flavors - every dish, from their specialty artisan bread basket with cilantro pepita butter, bisque soup, crab cakes (our meal) were unique. Extensive wine list as well. Young wait staff: very courteous!

We had wanted to try for many years. Salad was excellent and the service was superb. Ordered a pasta dish with lamb and very disappointed. No flavor except for the lamb, as if no seasonings were used, although certainly did not taste bad, pasta was well cooked and the lamb was tender. Noted this to the waiter who graciously offered... This place used to be the place to go for a great meal...now its a roll of the dice. The food is almost always great but the service is very spotty. When the service has been ok, the meals were just ok. I'll still say go and decide for yourself.

We started with the appetizer Artisan Bread Basket with cilanto pepita butter which was not too spicy spread on this great bread. The Classic Caesar was presented nicely and was also great. The Double Cut Pork Chop entree was very flavorful, tender, huge and delicious. My Peach Bellini was the best. Our friendly, efficient server was a veteran of twenty... More

My wife and I almost skipped over this restaurant but decided that since it was so close to the hotel we would try it. Boy are we glad we did! We arrived about thirty minutes before they start serving so we sat in the bar and a couple of drinks. The Margaritas were luscious. The bartender was friendly, courteous, fun... More

Service was so-so. Don't mind paying for artisan bread appetizer but when it is stale and cold that is not acceptable. The salad was dry and tasteless and they acted like the dressing was made of gold with the lack of it. The filet however was cooked perfectly and was wonderful. The highlight of a tragic evening.

We came on New Years Eve. When I made the reservation we could only get in at 9:30pm. Ok. But when I called at 8 to see if they had cancellations they said "Yes. Come in!" We were seated quickly. That was the only quick thing. Since we had some drinks while walking the Main Street we didn't order wine.... More

My family and I have visited this restaurant several times. In fact until this last visit it was my favorite restaurant in Fredricksburg. This last visit was almost a complete disaster. Our waitress was young and inexperienced. She would ask one person at the table what they would like to drink and then walk away. She would disappear for extended... More

6 couples including hildren plus 4 grandchildren went to dinner last Saturday. Strip steaks and pork chops were too tough to eat. Potatoes were cold as was the restaurant temperature. Chicken was good. No children's menu was available so had to pay full price for adult meals. Hallway to restrooms were unlit and dangerous thru staff falure to turn on... More
