Amazing food! Service was fantastic. You get alot of food, very reasonable prices. Off the beaten path. No frills. Will definitely be back!

We stumbled across La Mixteca while walking nearby. It doesn't look like much from the outside, or for that much even the inside! However, the food was excellent. We had migas, because you can't not get migas when it's on offer for breakfast... Value for money. Eating with quiet locals. Great breakfast.

We wanted to go somewhere off of the beaten path. According to Google maps we were there when we were at the corner but that wasn't right, it was just a little further up the street. The atmosphere is just like a hometown diner. The prices are the same. I'm glad we went outside of the tourist area. The food... More

East of downtown in an industrial area, this family run restaurant is nothing fancy but it is nice and clean. Parking across the street. Not open for dinner, only breakfast and lunch. Beer is available. Expansive menu beyond typical Tex-Mex dishes. Lots of Mexican seafood choices. Service is efficient and friendly. Restrooms are clean. Food is excellent. Enchiladas with chile... I've been eating here for the better part of two decades. Probably my favorite Tex-Mex on the island. Nice staff. Spacious dining room (if a little noisy when busy). Good for families. I just wish they still were open for dinner like back in the "old" days.

Excellent Mexican food, very authentic and fresh. Pastor tacos are the best. Quick and friendly service.

My sister says the quality of a Mexican restaurant can be determined by the quality of the shrimp cocktail - and if that's the case, then this restaurant is just o.k. The shrimp were tiny cocktail shrimp, most likely previously frozen. The rest of the food was good, not great, except for the taquitos, which were hard and dry.

Everything was tasty. They even made my extremely picky Aunt happy. I had a cheese quesadilla, my aunt had the cheese enchiladas, my husband and son had the fajitas. My husband said the fajitas were good but the bell peppers could have been a bit softer. To me this also wasn't great but the chips were good. The restaurant smelled... More

As close to authentic as you can find. The location is a bit tricky to find but once you're there, the food is great. Inexpensive, great for families, and good service.
