Friday of Spring Break week and we were in line for quite a while to get in for a late lunch. Green chili burger was tasty and hot! ("No fast food here" sign is posted at entrance.) MMMMMmmmmm, the Onion Rings were crispy and some had several onion layers inside the batter. Worth the wait on this day. My daughter... More

This place was packed when we came in, so it's popular with the locals. Our burgers were very good, but the fries were sad. I wish I'd gotten the chips instead. No kids menu but they did have a grilled cheese sandwich. The seating was crowded and not very comfortable, and the food took half an hour to arrive. Service... More

The signature appetizer here is, of course, fried dill pickle chips. The chips are coated with a batter and fried. We ordered a batch with little expectation and were pleasantly surprised. Quite tasty. This is a small place so I suggest visiting before or after normal lunch hours. As many of the other reviewers have stated, the burgers are really... More

Hamburgers were as good as reviewed. Green chilis are strips of chilies, not just dumped from a can.

We stopped in on a surprisingly warm Saturday in February at 1pm. Even at 1, there was nowhere to sit, and we were lucky to get a place at the bar. There was no kids' menu (so nothing for the five year old to draw on), but we brought a coloring book so she was well occupied. We were given... More

Dropped in with my daughter and young grandkids after a day at Dinosaur Valley State Park. We started with fried pickles (best I've ever had) and cream cheese poppers - yum! Burgers we're great, fries homemade. Service was kid-friendly and easy-going. I'd come back in a heartbeat!

If you want an awesome burger, this is the place to go! Every time we go here, the burger is always hot and tasty, and the buns are fresh and toasty. We like to go at lunch so that we are assured of getting a piece of pie still warm from the oven. The pies go quickly, so order your... More

The fried green pickle appetizer was very good. The cheeseburger was hot and tasty with a good size patty and fresh toppings. The cheese fries were a bit soggy, but it may have been from melting the cheese on top. Next time I will try the regular fries. The service was fast and friendly. I will return.

The atmosphere was very casual, the decor very eclectic and the wait staff very friendly and attentive. It is right on the historic courthouse square. Glen Rose is a very quaint and historic little Texas town. Great food plus beer, wine and wine a ritas. Serves breakfast and lunch.

Thank Rick H
