We were in the area to do some birding and needed a quick lunch. The restaurant is not much to look at but we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did. The menu is limited mostly to sandwiches (I can't remember if there were any non-sandwich items offered) and we selected the tuna salad and chicken salad... More

I would come again, pretty nice hotel for what you pay for. Complementary breakfast with a great front desk service!

They are only open for breakfast and lunch, but serve shrimp or catfish dinner on Fridays. We had both last week and were pleasantly surprised. Both the shrimp and catfish were evidently fresh and hand battered. Nice, inexpensive meal. We would definitely return, not that there are any other choices in this small town. :)

Had a marvelous time!!! The motel & restaurant are very good & exceptionally clean. The food is home cooking. Another couple attended "Dickens on the Strand" in Galveston, TX & stayed at the Gulfway Motel, also. They were also extremely pleased with the motel & restaurant
