The food was good but served cold. Our server never came back to the table. I had to get up to get a drink refill. Terrible service. The restaurant was not very busy. I can see why. I won’t be back.

I ordered a medium Crispy Alligator and medium Crawfish Dinner. First off when you order online, there aren't any pictures, or descriptions of what you get for most of the stuff. After tip I paid $53.61 for this. I ordered it to go and when...I got to my hotel I opened it up and saw this....... The Gator was OK, but a bit dry and over seasoned. The crawfish tails tasted like overly salted over seasoned batter and couldn't taste the crawfish at all. Lets just say I was very disappointed.More

I have eaten at Pappadeaux in other locations and have yet to be disappointed. This time, crawfish and dirty rice was on the fare. It was a great place to have a business dinner.

We stopped on the way home after being downtown got a great cold beer, boudin and then split the snapper ponchatrain. It was excellent and the portion sizes were unbelievable! Sat at the bar watched the games and ate great seafood. Great day.

Hopped into Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen off 290 and Hollister to chill for a bit, heat index is 105 degrees and this was a great call. Bit on the pricey side of a place but the quality is worth the extra couple of bucks! Had the...Appetizer Shrimp Cocktail, came with a total of 9 well sized chilled shrimp and a great cocktail sauce livened up with extra horseradish, perfect! Followed with a House Salad that was surprisingly a notch above the rest I have sampled, mixed greens, egg, bacon, red onion and light crunchy croutons, hit the spot for a light eating adventure. Whether you’re escaping the heat or one of the T-Storms rolling through this, or just hungry, this is a great spot to leave it behind for a bit. Enjoy!More

This spot never disappoints, popped for a business lunch on Thursday afternoon and sat at the bar. Excellent bar service, the gumbo was spot on and the Greek salad great as expected. Cheers to the staff, you guys always nail it.

Since this Pappadeaux location first opened some 25+ years ago, I have visited a couple of times each year, especially during Lent. This Pappadeaux on 290 (13080 Northwest Fwy) is the best and most popular seafood restaurant in the area. On the weekends and during...happy hour, the place is packed. As with most Pappas restaurants, the bar usually does a good job of keeping the crowds happy until they are seated. On average, the food and the service has been great. And for the most part, the 290 construction in that area is complete and it may be easier getting around.More

This place was great and surprised me when i found out it was a chain. We had the grilled octopus to start with the table bread. The octopus is a hard dish to get right. So much can go wrong between flavor and tenderness. They...nailed it. It was marinated, seansoned and grilled perfectly. No rubber here. Bread was great. Then it was the crawfish bisque. It was rich, creamy and had plenty of flavor. It din't skimp on the crawfish tails. Next was the house salad with house dressing. Great stuff. I mean it's a salad. The dressing was made with fresh not dry ingredients. That's a big one. Next up blackened grouper with crab. the fish was cooked absoloutly perfectly. As a chef this is another one that can easily go wrong. The spinach on the plate was also perfectly sauteed and seasoned. The sauce was a butter based emulsion and was flavorful and unbroken. The one thing that was odd was the small amount of lump crab. They had shrimp on top with the crab. Shrimp was tail on and cooked well. But the dish was supposed to be w/ lump crab and not really with shrimp.I felt this was a little bit of a bait-n-switch. Did someone not order enough lump crab for the night?!!? Other than that I had no complaints. Kay our server was attentive and kind. It was a great time.More

Traveliers, like other Pappadeaux, this one is Great! The service was not so good, the Bartenders we more interested in stocking the shelves and visiting with other customers than assisting customer at the bar.

Three of us enjoyed dinner here. Two of us had the blackened Texas red fish, and one had a lobster tail. We all had a salad. The salad is great, and the seafood can't be beat! Santos was our waitress, and did a great job...of taking care of us. Great dinner as always.More

I am a native Houstonian and I have been eating at there restaurants since the 70's and truth be known all there food at all their restaurants taste great, When it comes to Fajitas this restaurant has the best juiciest tenderest fajitas were you taste...the beef ,I have eatin at many Mexican restaurants from Houston to san Antonio and in Austin and surrounding areas and hands down Pappasitos has the best fajitas! There Seafood is also always very fresh and if you do not think something is not meeting your standards they will not contest it but offer you to remake your order,I cannot think of any restaurant establishment were everything taste great, There gyros are fresh and awesome at there greek restaurant ,their Pappadeux Louisiana style food is always fresh, even the alligator appetizer is fresh ,This restaurant is just spectacular by the way they own Dots which is like a Dennys but food wise Dennys can not compete with these guys because everything is fresh made, There barbq beef ribs at there Pappas Barbq place are in a class all by them selves no one in this town serves beef ribs better and fresher than the Pappas chain of restaurants I should know I have been eating at all there restaurants for the past 35 years,I canot say anything bad about this restaurant, because the few rare times that I complained they remade an item or ity was the waiters fault, but truth beknown this restaurant chain has the best of everything its just a matter of what you really feel like eating today,Dont take my word for it,"you be the judge "More
