Clean and busy. Order at the counter and you get a buzzer. Find a table and get a fountain drink and the buzzer goes off. Very little wait. Great fish tacos, shrimp tacos, nachos, Cuban sandwiches. Very reasonable prices.

Grabbed a quick lunch for the office and the drive through line was enough to make me bypass this favorite spot but I DIDN'T!!! They are fast and thorough and I LOVE the food.

I can't say enough good things about this place... everything is good from the quesadillas to the tacos, the mango tea, the queso to the tortas! A definite step up from "fast food" but still super quick and easy. The Ropa Vieja tacos are my fave!

The food is always so fresh and good. If there is a line, it usually moves pretty quickly. If you like Cuban style food you will not be disappointing. The prices are also reasonable.

Got the nachos to go and was surprised with the quality. Nicely seasoned chicken strips with queso cheese and rotel poured on top. Can't wait to go back and try their "big" burrito. Saw that several people ordered it and it looked delicious.

love all the tacos and the tortilla soup. The only downside is occasionally food can be a little bit cold. This place is so yummy I wish I could open a franchise myself!

I have visited this Cuban food restaurant several times. They are always crowded, but the line moves along quickly with two registers operating. The food is nothing short of Outstanding, considering it's small store location. I have never gotten cold food from here. Your food is prepared at the time of order. Taste has always been good. Cuban food is... More

The Cuban taco and al pastor tacos are my favorites. To change it up I'll sometime order a torta or the rotisseries chicken (their signature item). El Rey makes some tasty lemonade and espresso too.

Stopped in El Rey for a very late lunch, I've noticed this restaurant many times...it's in the same parking lot as HEB and close to Costco. Wow, we were surprised at the quality of the food, very fresh, and the prices are reasonable for what you get. Our favorite was the Cuban Taco, it's loaded with favor...we will return soon.... More

Great staff. Food is good. Service is excellent. Well priced with a good selection. Most ala carte which is great for small appetites.
