My wife and I had a lunch date here. She went for the 3 course meal for business lunch. She had lobster which was fresh, tender and the right portion for a 3 course. I however, had the very simple $20 6 oz ribeye, with creamy french herbal butter and fries. The steak had a wonderfully, perfectly balanced pesto-rub that... More

Beautiful decor in an intimate atmosphere. Wonderful chef's table where you can sit and watch the food be prepared. I highly recommend the lobster bisque, any steak and the lobster and chicken dish. You will not be disappointed.

I really appreciate this restaurant because they consistently provide attentive service and superb food. I expect a wonderful dining experience, and they deliver every single time. I enjoy sitting by the open kitchen bc it is such fun to watch the staff work seamlessly and quietly as a team. Open kitchens don't always work for me, but it's a blast... More

The flavors of the food here is intense and well prepared. The service is very attentive, but not hovering.

We visited Artisans on the spur of the moment and without prior information about it. Located in mid-town, next door to Holley's and a block or so from Brennan's, it is conveniently located. Valet parking is available at the door. The dining area is somewhat dark, well-decorated, cozy and comfortable. There is a dining area for those who prefer a... More

Houston has become an incredible gastronomical destination with really first class restaurants for of all types of tastes and budgets , BUT there aren't too many really genuine ,honest to God restaurants with a traditional french cuisine . Artisans is the exception and is well worth a visit. Its owner-chef although a long resident of Houston ,maintains a strictly french... More

Beautiful restaurant and ambiance. We sat at the chef's table which was really cool, it was neat to see the food being plated, all of the outgoing dishes looked amazing! We had the duck pate, venison carpaccio, corn chowder soup, caesar salad, peppercorn filet mignon and what I called the meat lovers plate- it had duck, pork and bone marrow.... More

A couple of friends wanted to take advantage of Restaurant Week and try a new restaurant that neither of us had eaten at before. The food was awesome and the staff was great!! The restaurant itself is beautiful!

Once again, for my birthday, we went to Artisans and as with past visits, we were not disappointed. My wife had foie gras as an appetizer followed by a duck confit dish. I stayed with the classics escargot and the Bouillabaisse. I added a lobster tail because it was my b-day, and it was delicious. The broth is fantastic, the... More
