Enjoyed the tapas and the paella was amazing and plentiful! Sat outside and enjoyed two pitchers of delicious white sangria! Reasonably priced also.

If you like sharing, this tapas restaurant is wonderful. The menu is inventive and diverse. The prices are reasonable. And I've never had anything that I didn't love. Add to that the happy hour drink prices and I'm in my happy place!

Slow service, but not rude, just average. Food was tapas style. Prices right but average overall. Definitely a good place for a quick bite or a couple brews with friends. Would return.

I hope Batangas in Downtown Houston listens and makes improvements. The food wasn't good. We had lamb ribs (crispy and dry), meatballs (OK), fish taco $2 (OK), poblano sliders $6 for 2 (meat dry, flavorless, overcooked), nachos $5 (poor and pinchy except chips). Service was fine but I didn't like the server putting the cloth napkins in mine and my... More

This restaurant is unique! It has indoor and outdoor seating with tables and couches. The outdoor lights offer a bright atmosphere. I had never eaten at a tapas restaurant, so I didn't know what to expect. Delicious food!

We had a very nice meal, service was excellent, and the ambience of the patio was special on a late Spring evening. The patio is fenced off from the street which gives it a little more privacy while still allowing you to experience the sights and sounds of the city.

So it was Sunday afternoon, Maria was our waitress, met the manager, and the food was awesome. There was a small hiccup; but it's not a matter what the hiccup may be, it's a matter of how it was corrected...and it was a PERFECT ENDING to an awesome meal! Here is some mouth watering pics :-)

The tapas is not as good as we recently had in Seville but it was very good and the fusion between traditional tapas and Mexican worked. We went back for a repeat of the beef tacos and loved everything except for the pig ribs. The fried pig ears were of particular note and well worth trying even if it does... More

If I think Happy Hour I think Batanga. $5 mojitos are a must!! They also do $5 sangria and white/red house wine and #3 domestic bottles. Besides the mojitos, for me, the best part about Batanga Happy Hour are the $4 appetizers!! First of all you MUST get the chicken skewers and once you do you'll never want to eat... More

Excited to see Batanga was just around the corner from our hotel, The Magnolia. We did not know we were stumbling upon an incredible happy hour that was until 7pm. The pineapple mojito is a must and the hummus is the best I have ever had. The waiter was gracious and made us stop ordering at the beginning because all... More

Tapas (small plates) restaurant featuring dishes from various regions of Spain, South America and the Caribbean, including Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Cuba, and more. We have live Latin music Wednesday - Sunday, including Salsa, Merengue, Samba and other Brazilian styles, and Flamenco during Sunday brunch. The music is also piped outside to our 3,600 square foot bricked patio--the largest in downtown Houston--which features thick stalk bamboo and lush greenery. The historic clock tower sits right outside our patio fence. It's a cool vibe.
