Went to Ninfa's on a Friday night. Crowded, but no wait. Food was pretty much standard Tex-Mex that you can get from any chain. Margarita's were weak and over-prices as was the food. We ordered a pitcher which was actually a carafe. Service was pleasant Atmosphere ok. You can definitely do better in Houston.

Mama Ninfa opened Ninfa's about 1974. She actually introduced fajitas to the US, a recipe that she had brought from the interior of Mexico. Ninfa's has expanded and contracted . I'm not sure if there are any locations besides the one on Navigation, but you only want to go there , none of the others. Fabulous margaritas as well as... More

I do not understand all the positive reviews on this restaurant. We went there based on Trip Advisor reviews, but our experience was not positive at all. The restaurant packs in people like cattle and it is so loud you have to yell to be heard by others at the table. The food is tasty, but very average for Mexican.... More

I went on weekend and they were extremely busy but got a table in 20 minutes. My waiter was super attentive and way cool. He was the best server I've had in Houston and i eat out all the time. The fajitas are supernatural, you'll never have better!!! Cant recommend this place enough. I took friends from Dallas & San... More

We heard so much about this place, we couldn't pass it up when in Houston. The wait was lengthy although they had a little art festival across the street so time passed fairly quickly. Service was wonderful and the food was superb. We had salmon molé which was delicious! Fajitas also wonderful but they come out sizzling so be prepared... More

As soon as you walk in you are in Mexico they are cooking right there and the food smells and tastes terrific. As soon as I got a table they brought me chips with 2 tastes of dipping sauce .... outstanding. Service is very polite and takes care of every need .i ordered fajitas steak and shrimp and left it... I had dinner here with my son and his friend, and once again we had an excellent dinner! We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed it very much! I don't think you can go wrong at this place, best Mexican food I've ever had! Enjoy!

This is an old, loud, and large restaurant with lots of atmosphere. Great margaritas and redfish tacos. I've enjoyed each time I dined here. Huge portions, too big to me. I enjoy the food, but be aware that conversation can be difficult when dining here.

Went to dinner here with business associates. The food was good… Not the best I've had, but certainly far from the worst. Service was acceptable, prices were right. Atmosphere is lively. Can't give five stars because there was nothing exceptional, but wouldn't hesitate and recommending.

A typical joint for basic Mexican fair. The food is ordinary, but service folk are nice, but usually folks don't go there for that. I scanned the menu and got only the basic of dishes and very little of my choice for the dollar value. Don't be surprised that you may leave the place hungrier then when you came in?
