Old time Houston favorite. Sometimes you don't need something fancy or even a sit down restaurant you just need a sandwich for lunch. This fits the bit at a decent price point. Nothing fancy nor should it be.

I went in right before closing. Everyone was very nice and I didn't feel like I was putting anyone out. The sandwich was good with an average amount of fresh toppings.

Great Po' Boys and the same bread since the beginning of Antone's. They have many different things now such as gumbo, fried shrimp, muffalatta's and the list goes on. You will find something to enjoy!
We are a big fan of Antone's and alway get the same original sandwich. We sampled the deviled eggs and chicken salad as well and decided just to stick with what they are most well-known for. I've been enjoying their sandwiches for 40 years.
